Home Match Day Thread +++ 19/04/2019 OUFC v Charlton Athletic Match Day Thread +++

I don't get to many games these days but I was lucky to be in the crowd today. 15 insipid minutes followed by an absolute belter of a performance from players and fans. What a treat. Ref was inconsistent and wrong on occasion but it made for a real spectacle.

Away fans were ok too. Good game. Looking forward to next season (ish)

Looks very suspiciously like a hand ball and peno to me, and still not convinced that's a red. Much as we'd like to complain about the ref, that is probably the game changing decision, and CAFC have every right to be more pissed off with Drysdale's performance than we do imo.
Turned his back when the ball was kicked, seen them given but not a penalty, dangerous play red card and he should of booked a couple more Charlton players FOR surrounding the ref.

Well only
Know at full time today won't we
Today's games will be over before I can work it out, but a lot of teams would have to get to 56 points and with many of them playing each other, I very much doubt it's possible.
It's amazing how Plymouth went on that run after beating us, and looked to be safe, but have been dragged right back into it.

Yes maybe although they were very lucky not to gave a couple more players sent off.
How on earth can a player push a referee and not be sent off?

Heroics from U’s stopper Jack Stevens !

Absolute B*****s. Eastwood made a massive error handling well outside his box. That's a red card so the ref has to give it, he can't choose to ignore the rules on a whim, would the people who think it was wrong (not just aimed at you here as there's been a few) still feel the same if it were the other way round?

If anything at first look their red seemed harsh, he was close to it though so maybe it was worse than it looked from the stands.

Tbf, it was Darren Drysdale reffing so he picks and chooses which laws to use on a minute by minute basis. :)

But you are right.
