National News Prince Phillip has died

Well it seems every channel will be broadcasting this, so I wouldn't put it past them to move all the games to 12pm kick offs.
Ah, okay. That would make sense. Better to do that, than change the day.

It’s the same sh1t over and over again on every channel on the tv and radio it’s ridiculous!

I woke up this morning to hear that a good friend had taken his life at 31 years old 10 years after leaving Afghan and the Paras.

Seeing this b0llocks on the tv on every channel. Let the royal family sort their stuff out and let’s look after each other! Because there’s no such thing as Queen and country. Only friends and family!!

I’m sorry to hear that mate.

That is so crap. Feeling for you. And well done for saying it as it is.

Told you it would happen.

It's not as if anyone can go (to either).

There maybe players, managers and/or officials that will want to watch TV coverage .....

ye same the average person dies no one really cares why should we care for a royal .
He wasn’t average, that’s the problem. Top rugby league player, director of rugby in Aus to name one of many things. Unlike some of this lot we pine over.

Anyway I’m not much use to this discussion because today myself and my friends lost far more than Prince Phillip

Not happy with this. At all.

I don't want to watch the funeral, and am fairly ambivalent about the Royal Family, but this is tantamount to bloody serfdom. They must have had advice on this, and been told 3pm on a Saturday is football. Why do they have to hold it at that precise time and day? They could have held it at any time and any day, but no, they've decided to hold it at a time that will inconvenience the maximum number of people possible. And to cap it all the football authorities bow down and tug their collective forelocks and agree to postpone all games.

This virus has deprived many of us of the ability to lead our normal lives for over a year, and many friends and relatives have lost their lives, with football being one of the few landmark events glueing the weeks, and some sections of society, together. As I said, I was fairly ambivalent about him dying, but chose to avoid all of the blanket coverage on TV and in the media as best as I could, and would not dream of trying to force my opinions on other people, but find this to be a move too far and it seems like a big two fingers up to those of us who will now have the only highlight of our weekend affected. I really don't think the "authorities" give a toss about football or football fans.

It would of made sense having the funeral at 12pm on Saturday. Could of moved a couple of the early kick offs back to 3pm. Now it's where do we move this game to? A later kick off on Saturday or a Sunday game but then that affects the following Tuesday's game.

Wow.
I would imagine that's libellous
Sue me. I would love for Andrew to face questioning, as part of my defence. They covered up Saville, and they have done the same with Andrew. Like I have said previously, if it wasn’t true then why hasn’t he sued any of his accusers? if I was a high profile figure and someone was throwing around false accusations like that, I’d do all I could to clear my name. His silence speaks volumes.

If I called you a paedophile would you sue me?
