Afternoon all.

As some of may have seen we have been mentioned a few times on socials with what can only be considered the least flattering photo of our burgers.

Me and Rebecca have done a lot of work over the past season to improve the quality and service inside the stadium, yes some may not believe us but we are handling more customers quicker then we have ever done.

One of the criticisms was the burgers, last season we used the same burgers and rolls that we do on our unit outside, but due to the differences in service and having to hot hold they was not coming out as well as they do in the mobile unit.

We made the decision to move to a 6oz steak burger, these are cooked, by us, on the griddles inside the stadium, and served in brioche rolls with cheddar cheese, I personally prefer real cheese over the plastic variety.

The changes we felt was a better product that stood up a lot better to hot holding, apparently we was wrong.

With the criticism from both the wider public and plenty of OUFC Fans on social media it would appear that people are still not happy with the product.

Therefore we have taken the decision, effective immediately we will no longer be serving burgers of any kind inside the stadium. they will of course be available outside.

As always we remain at your service and strive to offer the best service possible.

Kindest Regards

Bailey & Rebecca

Whilst I appreciate that any decision regarding what you offer from your outlets is a matter for you alone, I cannot help but think that this is an over-reaction.
As you have rightly pointed out, the picture featured on social media is not a very flattering depiction of a cheese burger. However, the burger depicted does appear to have been over cooked and the cheese looks very unappetizing. Brioche bun or not, it is not a very good advert for your wares.
It is worth pointing out that, at least, one of the social media posts is from a Twitter account that features food offerings from all over the country and, has in the past, highlighted some exceptionally good and also very good value offerings. They also, of course, show the poorer and less good value.

What has to be considered here is that what is depicted, does not do you justice. Perhaps it would be better to revisit the food preparation and staff involved to assure that all is up to your normally high standards. Is it possible that, on this rare occasion, someone got it wrong?

Agreed, a better photo here:

This is a cheeseburger and chips at Arsenal, yes it looks better quality... but look at the price!

Nevermind what it looks like... When I buy a burger, it isn't to take pictures to whip up a few retweets or likes on social media, it's to eat the bloody thing.

The question is, how did it taste?? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Basic premise of any food, make it look edible, make it look appetizing, make it look appealing and excite other senses.

Last couple of home games, I've had a cheeseburger. First one, at the Exeter game was nice tasting. The one at the Arsenal game, wasnt bad but not as good as the previous one. I put this down to the fact i was one of the first into the ground, so probably wasnt heated as long as the previous one.. although may be cos i'd had sausage and chips outside from the van. But the chap serving, despite seeming confused about where the burgers where, was extremely friendly and polite and a joy to deal with. He gets 10/10.

Good point about the staff, I always find them friendly and efficient. Rarely see the same ones twice so not sure what Bailey does to them when they finish their shifts…..😂

Feed the away fans any old s**t, just make sure the food is alright for the home fans.

I had a cheese burger on Monday night, it was alright, it’s a quick bite to eat at football, I think people need to lower there expectations somewhat.

I prefer to rate food based on how it tastes, not how it looks. If it's standing up to the taste test I wouldn't take much notice of Twitter. It's a football ground and not a restaurant, I don't think many football fans are scoring you based on presentation.

It's nice to have a catering team at the stadium who will communicate with the fans and ask what we'd like, and why certain decisions are made etc. I'll never forget the generous donation to Oxford Ultras from Farrs Catering, it went a long to making sure one of the displays got over the line.

Hopefully you reconsider, I find burgers a lot easier to eat than a crumbly pie if you're stood in the concourse etc. Always grab one outside the ground on the way to the Blackbird!

Overall your service has been considerably better and quicker this season, I honestly think the only way of judging is sales. If sales have collapsed then remove them, if they haven't I would continue selling them. Very few of your customers comment on social media, they tell you if they like the product by continuing to buy them.
Quite honestly if you take that approach you will sell nothing. The reality is you have small high volume selling opportunities in none ideal environment, nobody expects a Michelin star burger.
Sorry some do, but then they expect us to win every game.

Or eat what you want and let other people do the same. Everyone's a winner.
Why did that remind me of this...

Over reaction to a bit of social media bollox.

What do they expect for £4.40 a meal at the Hand & Flowers served by TK himself? Trust me its a bit more than four quid.........

Its a football ground burger - you aren`t getting Michelin stars for it.
