Away Match Day Thread +++ AFC Wimbledon v OUFC 29/9/18+++

All I can say is something had better be wrong with Norman physically, because he has swapped him out for Long who, while I like him as a player, has been absolutely out of the picture for months. And he's also swapped out Ruffels for Garbutt which, while not as much of a baffling decision given Garbutt's reputation, has split up a back four that were giving some semblance of chemistry.

Really, really bad stuff.
and no Baptiste?

I was jeered on here when I said that this side could be relegated.

It’s happening, folks, unless we change things. That starts with the inflexible loud mouth that is our manager.

Play 4-4-2 or get out of this club.
Its the refusal to change formation to play any differently whilst arguing with officials and his post match interviews that anger me. If we loose give the bloke his p45 upon leaving the coach this evening.

On the plus side whyte is a class above.

Awful performance, saved (hardly) by the goal. Whyte, Henry, Holmes only ones I can give any real credit, they are making an effort - as a team = Shocking. Obika doesn’t deserve to be on the field - offers zero, doesn’t resemble any kind of footballer. Give him the hook now. No idea what our game plan is here... not sure KR does either.

.

He is, and he could be gone in January and Baptiste

If the entire plan is to get the three behind the striker to do everything themselves then just stick Dickie up front and tell him to smash defenders, win headers and trap the ball for the others to run onto. There’s no point playing either Obika or Smith so you might as well put the biggest player we have up there and tell him to run around.

This is incredibly poor.

AFC Wimbledon will be relegated and we’re losing to them. Stupid goals to give away and the same bloody problems up front.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. 4-2-3-1 doesn’t work. It’s too complex for our players and they’re afraid of making mistakes. There is a fear in this as well as a lack of confidence.

Brannagan’s goal was well taken, mind. Whyte is by far the most talented player on the pitch and Henry looks up for the fight. Can’t really find a lot positive to say about the rest.

Don’t let the late goal fool anyone, we are toothless up front, and Wimbledon still seem to have another couple of gears they could go up. His refusal to change the system will cost Kr his job, after today. We really have been very poor, again.

He had time last year to see what we need. A f*****g STRIKER. Now we are at the point where he is keen to bring in someone who in his words, can give us 10 minutes.
I have no confidence that when the injured players are back that we would be any better under Robinson.

Someone at the game - 'if we get an early equaliser we can win this'
Im here and I can't see it happening. Our entire defense is shocking and our striker is on his own and absolutely awful but has no support. Oh for a pat hoban or a Danny Hilton. Or even maybe a 442. We are also massively missing a chey dunkley in defence and attack.

He was lucky at MK Dons! With the fire power he had ie Grigg,Alli, and Afobe you out score teams.

At the game. Think Sam Long has been our weak link. Defence is famously poor, but we've really stepped it up a level and look dangerous up until the final third. Whyte and Holmes are inspired. Brannagan and Henry looking to push us forward. Obika needs support in the box, and then we start scoring more.

One idiot halfway through was bashing on the away dugout. He was chatting to supporters outside the ground before the match. From how much bile he was spewing about KR, I genuinely though he was a Don!
