Manager/Coach Des Buckingham

Here’s the other numpty.
We wouldn’t have heard a peep out of you if we hadn’t conceded that 2nd.
Last night was utter crap, regardless of their equaliser. From minute 6 onwards I was bored out of my mind watching aimless hoofball

Tripe, utter tripe. No mention of the good wing play and numerous dangerous crosses into the box? The cross field balls over to Leigh which were working a treat all game?

You'd be silent if we won tonight, but individual defensive errors prevented that. Tell me how good we were at seeing out our home games against Port Vale, Blackpool and Wycombe please, I'd love to hear about it.
So we've sat back and been punished in previous games and that excuses the performance last night? If anything it would show that we haven't learnt any lesson.
I'd love to hear about how those countless hoofed balls forward or passing backwards formed any sort of decent game plan.

In that case they need to go, I don't care if it's Brannagan and Moore who are key players, or Smyth and O'Donka from the fringes when you have players deciding to phone it in because they either never wanted, or fell out with a manager then it destroys a club.
To give an example, Chelsea players allegedly fell out with Mourinho during 2015/2016, were in bottom third of table by start of December and the manager was sacked. Second season under Conte and the same thing happened. First season under Sari and same thing again. It becomes a habit of spoiled children.
Leysboy, if you know this to be true you should be outing the players if you really care for the football club. Buckingham may, or may not be a good coach at L1 level and he may or may not be a still here as manager in 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months time, but the bigger issue would be us having players who put it in when they feel like. What happens if they then decide they don't like the appointment that replaces DB, or get on with it to start and then fall out with him a few months later.

I’m not going to mention names, even though I care for this club, and follow the boys up and down the country every season.

It’s not right for me to do that, and I wouldn’t expect anyone else on here to do so either.

Members on here can draw their own conclusions, but I’ve let it out, and made people aware of the issue.

It’s not inspiring agreed
He needs the summer to improve the squad, if its still shite after that then I’m with you.

So what is it about him they don't like? Seems pretty bizarre to me, unless he's mistreating them or something.

Ok, so without mentioning any names, what have the players actually had an issue with? What has been said that suggests they don’t like him?

One could argue that, and say “ok let’s give him the summer” If its still shite after 10-15 games in to the new season, then it’s another season potentially wasted.

You can address this issue sooner, and maybe just maybe, this season isn’t wasted.

The thing is both arguments are not guaranteed to work. So what do you do….

I personally wanted and felt this job was for an experienced manager. I’m sure we would be 8-10 points better off than what we are now, and that’s taking the excuse (injuries) in to consideration.

It’s not a Des out cry, it’s only right the finger should be pointed however, when the team isn’t playing well, and performances are not getting any better. You look at his PPG return, and the lack of game plans each game, then it should be challenged. The fans have nothing to cheer about, and to get behind. It’s all very flat, and only until performances improve will the atmosphere too. Fans are bored of this tippy tappy sideways and backwards passing, and then lumping it aimlessly to the wings.

Don't you think senior players should be taking responsibility for the morale of the team if they are talking to you about why the manager should go?

I said this some time ago, about players not playing for the manager, or lost some of the dressing room. Of course it was immediately shot down, by the Des love in bunch.

I was right when it happened before under KR, I was shot down then, and I was right. Not happy about being correct, but CamBran told you all in an interview eventually.
Really because I remember a significant percentage of this forum, saying that about KR, for a significant period of time before he left. I don't recall you being a standalone source on that.

Never said I was the stand-alone did I?

I was public enemy number 1 The summer before that horrific season, and I was the stand-alone at that point. Everyone went against me, but sadly I was right, and only raising alarm bells.

What sort of manager would try to sign players on face time. That’s what KR was doing! Aswell as dicking the female team captain.

The three players I know of, haven’t said they wanted him to go, but he wasn’t who they wanted.

Is that it?! 😂😂😂

Just because they would have wanted someone else in doesn’t mean they don’t like Des 😂.

There performances have been sub standard since the arrival of Des. Downed tools is what I call it. Coincidence - No!

They wanted someone else, and they aren’t happy. That’s how it is I’m afraid. Sad yes, but also reality.
