You are forgetting one key point though. It's upsetting someone who is very rich, so of course it must be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. Wouldn't want to jeopardise those arms deals now would we.

The owners of the Prem and Sky won’t be happy. Let’s face it they’ve been chasing money for years and morals won’t get in the way.

No police action on Palace fans' banner

Police say no further action will be taken after a banner displayed by Crystal Palace fans targeted the Saudi Arabian-led takeover of Newcastle United.

Palace fan group Holmesdale Fanatics took credit for the banner on Twitter, and issued a statement.

"The Saudi led takeover of Newcastle has rightly received widespread condemnation and anger," it said.

"To give the thumbs up to this deal at a time when the Premier League is promoting the women's game and inclusive initiatives such as rainbow armbands, shows the total hypocrisy at play and demonstrates the league's soulless agenda where profits trump all."

I am not sure. Is it more because of the accessibility of information these days?

Is it right that so many clubs are sponsored by Bookmakers? Other clubs in the past have had dubious owners, remember West Ham are/were owned by the Gold's who peddled porn.

If people are so upset about countries such as Saudi Arabia, why not boycott their products (oil, etc)

Is there transparency on what other companies, etc PIF are invested in?

The reality is that ££££££`s is all that matters and our consumerist nature supports all those things.

Let us not talk about pension funds and dubious owners that supported the most successful spell in our history.

Not really, I just tend to focus on the positives in general. And I like to balance things out.

Having a NDE 3 years ago cemented my view of not wasting my time on moaning things out of my sphere of influence.
