Someone will need to create the post each after each match in the Matches Tread

The title format will be (PLEASE SELECT THE REF WATCH PREFIX):

Ref watch 03/08/2019 - Sunderland v OUFC: Peter Wright

A poll will need to be created on creation:

Peter Wright's performance against Sunderland was?

1 - One of the worst
2
3
4
5 - OK
6
7
8
9
10 - One of the best

Tick all the options and allow the poll to be open for 7 days.

This is always going to be a really objective thread linked to actuallity

A very generous 2 from me.

He was undoubtedly crying into his pint of Vaux Regal that night having been unable to manufacture 3 points for the home team.

You could always use the FA's own method of measuring referee performance?

This is what every grassroots team has to complete after each game.

The system of marking a referee from 1-100 began in Oxfordshire by the way, so as to more accurately 'rate' a referee's performance, 1-10 wasn't really fair or able to show a referee's ability or lack of it as clearly. The FA took it on nationally for all it's referee Assessors after a 2season trial started by school teacher Mervyn Hughes from Headley Way, the then OFA Assessor's Secretary. Clubs got the chance a year or two later. Marks under 40 then required a letter of explanation, this was raised to 60 and the simple tick box above made it easier for clubs to report referees. By some irony, clubs have been known to deliberately mark the poor referees highly to help them get promoted.......and get rid of them! Fact!
