I’m surprised that he doesn’t view Sam Long as a potential ball carrying centre half. Not only does he look comfortable every time he plays there but he’s also used to getting up and down the pitch with the ball. I have no doubts at all that Long could be tasked with bringing it out from the back if that’s something it’s felt is needed to make a back three work.

Brown on the left wouldnt be a complete duffer either if he decided to go Moore-Findlay-Brown, its an option either way.

Suddenly, like magic, everything (at last) starts to click, decent, 3-0 home win , over the winklepickers , with Taylor at last on the scoresheet, Joseph and Bran with 1 apiece too

Bristol Rovers in particular seemed to really struggle with some of our crosses. If the match had gone on just a couple more years I think we could have really tested their keeper.
If you want to use that match as an example.
Our 2 best ( and pretty much only ) chances came from a corner and a cross, we created diddly squat through the center.

They struggled with Taylors cross to Henry who nodded over from 5 yards out!

Really useful pre match Morecambe interview with KR on YT....tells us absolutely nothing in 48 seconds! :ROFLMAO:

You should try the 6 and a half minute version on iFollow - that doesn't tell us anything either!

Could work with Forde at RB (y)

What I would like on Saturday is for this team to come out really pissed off and angry and to take all that out on morcambe I want fire in their bellies if we show some true passion and desire we really could hit 5 but if we play like we did on Tuesday then I dunno

I posted at tedious length on this in the transfers thread, because I also agree that - given the wingers we've lost to injury - 3-5-2 is the formation that would best fit the majority of our current personnel. And you've just hit on even another reason why it could work.

Buuuuuut who the hell in our current squad would play RWB? We don't even have an emergency option do we? Some people have said that Joseph's played there before, but we need him up front. I guess we could try Golding, but that's pretty ludicrous. 'Hey, 17 year old CB - we'd like you to go and play on the right wing, please. That'll help your development, won't it?'

So unless and until KR signs a RB or RWB, I struggle to see how 3-5-2 is on the table.

Yeah, but for now, merely try to enjoy the fact that we sold our wide-midfielder-turned-right-back-cover bloke and now have no wingers or right back cover at all. It’s a hoot!

Eastwood
Long Moore Findlay brown
Mcguane
Bates brannagan
Henry
Joseph Taylor
Is that our current strongest team or maybe swap bates for Henry and put bodin in the #10 role either way 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 is out the window we don't have the personnel to play those
