Ex-Staff Karl Robinson

The longer he’s not managing the less chance he has of getting another role. There are lots of ex managers out there.

Probably waiting for the QPR job to become available again, which it will be quite soon judging by recent results.

Reckon that’s the one he wants. Probably sees himself as a Championship manager after his few weeks as Big Sam’s number two. West London would be quite convenient.

Whether QPR are stupid enough to offer it to him is another matter altogether.

I was always led to believe that he got very close to the QPR job whilst here.

OUFC owes him the full value of his contract regardless of his employment status - there is no “early termination” clause in the event that he gets another job before the club has finished paying him like most managers at this level have. Someone chose to leave that out, unfortunately.
Is there no concept of gardening leave in there, Ryan? If we are paying him month by month, are we not allowed to ask him to be available to us (not that we would want him anywhere near us), and if he should get another role which denies us that opportunity, it would be seem illogical that we should have to continue to pay him. Or did someone really screw it up?

I think we are paying him to stay well AWAY, thank you very much.

If we can make him available to us then the North Stand toilets are overdue a brillo pad

Yes they did.

Karl's agent basically rewrote the draft contract that was put in front of him and the rest is history.

The same agency he got many of our players signed up to, one might suggest he's skimming a small amount of cream off the top of their contracts too as a kind of referral fee.

Yep, Ryan’s right. Think the only leeway for the club is whether he’s shown as ‘no longer employed’ or ‘on gardening leave’ as there may be a saving to be made in terms of employer’s NI contributions if he’s no longer technically employed but still being paid.
I still can't get my head around the idea of this early termination clause as to how you can write in a clause for early termination for less than the full contract pay?
Found an article which explains how this might work - performance targets etc.

A lot of water has gone under the bridge whilst he was here and since, with most of that water being contaminated with sewage!

Imagine what it’s like living on the South Coast! Pray for me and @Pompeyyellows!

I’d absolutely love it if we were to beat them, love it

They can be quite cock sure of themselves. I often get attendances thrown at me.
But most Pompey fans that I know are thinking like us. Yes it’s a good start but let’s wait till after Xmas to see where we are. Same as us.
