Stewart Donald anyone.....

Bit of an unusual one, Juan Sartori has now been appointed as a Director at Sunderland.

Isn’t his father in law something to do with Monaco and the new Sunderland owner’s family had something to do with Marseille
( I think so that might be why he’s on the Sunderland board )

Satori still had a stake in the club after bailing Donald out early on, so likely just keeping an eye on his 10% or whatever it is.

KLD is the son of Robert Louis-Dreyfus, former (deceased) owner of Marseilles - Marseilles carried on under the family until 2016 when his widow sold it.
Sartori doesn't come from a massively wealthy family, not poor by any means, but his wealth is largely his own. His father-in-law though is Dmitry Rybolovlev, a multi-billionaire Russian oligarch (242 on the Forbes rich list), and he owns AS Monaco.

Some time later .......... with Chaz hanging around like a fart in a lift........... worth a read. Unless you are a Blunderland supporter.

Didn’t our old friend @Lundinsponytail emerge on here recently in the new stadium thread?

Perhaps Charlie Boy could shed some light on this 👀.

Its reignited the discussion up there........... from post #904 onwards is "new".

CM seems to be as popular as an STD - no change there then. :)

"when Wigan Athletic arrived on Wearside to raise the curtain on the season, Sunderland owned no senior full-backs."

Disturbing. I hope you know who doesn't find out.

I'm assuming a 'sack the supposed owner' thread will follow very, very soon.

They are in turmoil and it is a beautiful site......

On one side Defoe, Keane & "The Dream"

And the reality that is what it is..... getting turned over regularly in Div 3. :)

Surely he's a rare winner in this - coming out with a shareholding when he can't have actually invested any hard cash? At some stage he probably walks away with some money and or at worst, doesn't, having only put his hard won reputation on the line (ahem). Could buy him a life time supply of tailored red chinos and boat shoes.

Surely they’ve got the wrong man

Makes you laugh that they call sustainability a pipe dream for a club like them, if a club with their fanbase can't achieve or at least keep losses minimal in this league, no club can.

Sunderland fans will never change, they cry about lack of investment if they don't sign big name, big money signings and in the same breath talk about desires of a data driven approach to player recruitment. Defoe being a perfect example of that very problem

They regularly have 20,000+for home games, for more attractive opposition 30,000. Ticket prices are £26 behind goal and £30+ along the side. They own the ground, have all the corporate facilities, however they don't make money is staggering.
