Matches Sunderland (a) - 9 October - IS postponed

That will a long Tuesday if it get rearranged for a Tuesday night that’s a fair bloody journey on the LRC

I remember driving to Sunderland away twice in a week back in the 90s. Previously, had also LRCed it for a midweek game.

January 1989? Drew up there 1-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday, back to The Manor for the replay on the Wednesday which we won, then all back to Sunderland again for a League match, which we lost.
There's no way you were at that game surely, judging by your display pic you look about 30!

Yes, that's the one (close on the date  ). I remember Mark Druce tearing them apart in a midweek match with about 200 Oxford fans going nuts when we won 3-2 in 93/94.

Think it is a good thing the game is called off after their 4-0 drubbing at Pompey
There is no way they would put in another shite performance and it would be really hard for us to get a win

Reading the league paper apparently Johnson was trying to get the game called off at 3/0 due to waterlogged pitch.

There’s gamesmanship and timewasting and international call ups . Blunderland have found a new excuse to try and get a point any means possible. The new Stevenage.

The pitch did play awfully looking at the highlights on Quest.
The ball was hardly rolling at all.
Not quite Oxford v Ipswich but similar.
It was probably right to continue but you can hardly blame Johnson for trying

He should stick to learning how to run the country.

Looks like this will be Saturday 4th December if we get beat by Rovers tomorrow night.
