Yet another big test for the Yellows. Bolton have not made a good start and will be desperate for a win. Let's just hope that the injury list is smaller come Saturday.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS

Kind of fancy us to win this by the odd goal, seems to be a bit of depth in both character and squad that we might have been lacking previously.

*Bolton factoid....... as part of my campaign to watch a game from every stand at the Manor I was in the Cuckoo Lane (left side) 1996 when we played Bolton midweek in the dullest, drabbest & wettest 0-0 draw ever.

Bolton's start hasn't been that bad!

I don't know...letting in 3 goals against MK and Wombles in successive games isn't exactly a brilliant start.

Robinson :“I just hope he gets the chance and when he gets it he can take it.”

Someone needs to tell him that in L1 players don’t get chances as someone claimed on the other thread

Tough test against a side who attack well and defend less well. Sounds a bit like us at the moment with our defensive injury problems. We're down to our 5th choice RB, god knows who that is, Long, Forde, Hanson and Moore still out, no idea if Bodin, Williams and Holland will be available... 7 injuries 2 weeks into the season is bonkers bad luck.

Despite that I think we've still got the squad to win. Our midfield has been dominant every game so far, and a front three of Whyte, Taylor and Sykes is still very good. Reckon we're in for a big scoring game.

Stevens
Someone McNally Thornily Seddon
Gorrin
Henry CamBran
Sykes Taylor Whyte

3-2 OUFC, Taylor, Whyte, Sykes

That's a great team if 'Someone' is any good!

I would be tempted to go 3-5-2 for this game with McNally, Moore and Thorniley at the back, Cam, Gorrin and McGuane in the middle with Whyte on the right, and Seddon/Bodin/Cooper on the left and Matty and Dan/Sam up front. Probably won't happen, but maybe worth a gamble?

I’d play:

Stevens
RB McNally Thorniley Seddon
Gorrin
Brannigan McGuane
Whyte Agyei Cooper

Can’t imagine that this side wouldn’t score goals!!

Anyone interested in 2 tickets to go in Bolton Excuative Box, £92.00 1 adult and 1 child, message me if interested.

Is Moore back yet? I think if we were to do this it would probably be Mousinho, which feels like playing with fire a bit if you're also asking every player to play in a system they're not used to! I've got a feeling McNally will be put in at RB in our usual shape, with an experienced and/or tenacious RW in (Henry / Sykes) to help him out. He's athletic enough that he could probably get away with it - seemed to do just about fine on Tuesday, and will have had the basics coached into him this week.

Would take a draw here. Without injuries I'd say we should probably be winning this, but anything to keep the points tally ticking over at this point would be fine.

Moore is apparently fit, but not sure whether he's ready for a full 90 minutes. I'd agree that Mous would likely be too great a risk to put into a back 3.
