My expectation adjusted to hopefully staying up. We seriously need to look at our sports science.

Does it even need to be at complex as that?

‘What’s your injury history like?’
‘I’ve had an ACL and you can bounce coins off my hamstrings.’
‘A bit of sticky tape and some lolly sticks and you’ll be fine’

Just look at those who can give you enough games. We’ve got way too many injury prone players in the squad. They’re not players for us anymore. They’re passengers. It’s like having four or five Jamie Hanson’s knocking around.

This season is starting to feel like an utter waste of time. The usual chucking away of points at the start of the season.

Some on here want KR sacked and maybe I’m in that camp too. He’s built this unbalanced squad, he fails to address the defence that failed last season and has taken some massive gambles on injury prone players. Who sanctioned these signings? Who thought James Henry was worthy of a two year contract?!

Poor poor poor. So many of us on here could see it but the man in charge refused too. I appreciate we’re in a better place now (largely) than when KR joined but we need better now. Better recruitment, fewer gambles and commitment to the model.

It’s so frustrating, because the season has not long started, and it feels over as it’s begun, and to an extent did so without the early signings.

I’m just going to say the positives, because, why not.

We were much better second half.

Joseph looked good again when he came on. As did Brown. I’d assume they’ll both start next game.

McGuane was absolutely superb. What a player he can be.
I agree on all, but the comment that we were much better in the 2nd half. Better in terms of energy, and commitment, but it was all rushed, we lacked shape, and hardly looked like scoring. Lincoln in comparison was like Cambridge, well drilled. What they lacked in quality they made up for in structure and organisation.

We're in trouble.
Not 'we're going to get relegated' trouble. But 'our promotion/playoff campaign is looking like it's being derailed before it even gets going'-type trouble.

We're suddenly short of numbers up front, with the Browne/Wildschut/Murphy/Baldock injuries, and Taylor & Bodin looking half a step slower. For whatever reason, KR doesn't seem ready to trust Jones yet, and Murphy isstill waiting to make a big impact (granted, he did win the penalty today - although that was a dumb challenge by the defender). I'm not sure we have all that many exciting options for the front three ofr Saturday.

The game passed Bate by, and he looked like he wasn't ready for the pace and physicality of League Two, and Gorrin hasn't looked like his old self yet, so we don't seem to have an obvious third midfielder to pair with Cam & MM if we decide to pack the middle of the park (as I think we ought to, to control the game).

And we've talked often enough about the struggles at the full back positions.

Saturday is suddenly really frickin' important. We need a win and a performance otherwise this season could peter out before it even gets going.
There's always once or more fancied sides in this division that struggle out the gate and end up bumbling around mid-table. Starting to worry that this could be us in 22/23.

Poor performance to start the opening 10% of the season:
- Three losses in four.
- Only one hotly tipped team in those four
- lucky to get the win that we did get.

I’ve sat in the middle ground and bided judgment. But…

I’d say this is now a poor summer window after full financial backing regardless who comes in because timing wise it hasn’t worked. We are already playing massive catch up.
- a new first team keeper seemingly not purchased
- full backs not updated
- injury prone players all over the squad

@Scotchegg @tatabanya (not confrontational just curious) …be interested to know if your position has changed with regards:
- standard of incoming players
- timeliness of incoming players
- medical condition of the overall squad

I don’t want Robinson gone. He has to be given time to put this right.
Brannagan and Taylor yet to find form. New players need more time too.
If this season looks like imploding before 2023 then maybe it is time to look at other options.
Im very disappointed but let’s take one game at a time….or maybe five

No he doesn't, he's been here for four-and-a-half years.

Even the most positive of us (I include myself in that list) know that the first 4 games have been utter shite. I back KR, I think he's a good manager, but whatever isn't working you need to f*****g sort it and fast.

Either that or it'll be time for a trip to the job centre by Christmas.

McGaune once again a class above them all. Seddon had a decent first half, how ever much people want to slate him.
Tough night for Findlay and Moore.
Brown and Joseph both played themselves into the side, mistake not to start both.

4th League game and we are already in the realms of "we're too good to go down"!

Nothing I can really add.. we are going to be battling relegation and you can hold me to that.

Taylor looks like he's given up on ever getting support again. Brannagan looks a shell of himself. We hoof from the back.

Our transfer planning this summer was a quick glance through New Eras "players needing a bit of love".

To have potentially *checks notes* zero wide midfielders available next game due to injury is just madness.

If I was Mr Bakrie having just shelled out 7k a week for Bran, 5.5k for Joseph, Christ knows what for Murphy and Wildschut, I would be having a VERY stern phone call with Mr Robinson tomorrow.

I'm not even sure we were better attacking-wise in the second half. It was indeed all harum-scarum, chuck the ball up there and hope something happens stuff. Our best attacking period I thought was before Lincoln scored.
