A bit of blame lies with all of them (except for the board). I'd say it mainly lies with the players though - regardless of the management the players have an ever-present responsibility to do the basics (like score from 6 yards out into an open goal *cough* Rodrigues *cough*:rolleyes:).

This is really important. That interaction between the players and the supporters. It means a great deal.
 
We simply need to be in and around the playoffs by JAN. That would be a success and then the club will re-appraise and support DB to kick on.

No need to panic, regardless of tonight and the next few weeks.

It's not a bad time to have a wobble. Plenty of time to recover, and the transfer window opening soon. Other teams will have bad spells too, maybe Portsmouth are starting one.

Agree with most of this but I don't think we were lucky to win at Orient. We could quite easily and probably should have won 6-2 if we'd had a decent finisher on the pitch!!
Our striker missed a hat trick of easy chances.
Something that should be addressed in January.

Yup- I should have said we deserved to win, but (I thought) we were lucky to win, if you see what I mean. Orient hit the post quite near the end and had a few other chances. I have said what I think about out lack of a finisher many times, and I am sure that is at the top of Buckingham's list.
 
It’s maddeningly predictable.

Brilliant play for ‘ X ‘ number of games, then we come up against a team that are less concerned with skill and a bit more into the dark arts (insert your own nominees here) Then we get found out. If the oppositions management have anything about them they prepare the team to play in a certain way. We can’t deal with it, Still no plan B it seems.

….And if the officials are performing to what has become their ‘normal’ (abysmally low) level? Well…..you get the picture…again.

That's what separates EFL from PL. One is a club tournament, the other is an entertainment business. The best I could hope for for any Premier League club outside of the top 6 would be relegation to the Championship.

Sorry, but a team.sitting a point from the top of the league, having beaten Barnsley, Derby and Stevenage amongst others in some style, with the same squad and coaching shouldn't be expected to be given a three game loosing pass. We should be looking to win each game. That would leave us mid tab
If anything it should be the other way. The new managers bounce, anyone?
This seems to be setting the bar really low, just in the off chance it does happen. You can't suddenly go from going x number of games unbeaten to accepting/predicting losing the next 3.
If it does end up going that way, then something is clearly going wrong.

I love Palace and the community around the club but I can tell you that @Scrongo is right. The Premier League is dull. Realistically three clubs can win the title and five clubs are likely relegation candidates. The rest you hope for a good cup run. Supporting Oxford Utd is much more exciting - look at the transformation in the last nine months, the rapport between players and fans, the opportunities of the new ground. League One football is passionate and exciting. If I could change one thing though it would be the standard of reffing.

It isn't the same coaching though is it...
Manning didn't just jump ship, he ripped apart the whole staffing group. It wasn't a clean, straight forward transition and one that the club still is going through due to still needing to find and bring in several back room staff.

I am actually jealous of my daughter's support. Genuinely love Oxford and think it is a great club. To justify it I keep looking for spurious linkages between Palace and Oxford.

One thing that joins both clubs is that we both had embarrassing shirt sponsors at our peak moments. It's tricky to walk with any pride wearing my 1989 FA Cup final t-shirt when it has the word Virgin plastered on the chest. And of course - just as you win the League Cup - there is Wang right in your face. Even at our great times the Gods of sponsorship try and beat us down. One way for Oxford Utd to guarantee promotion this year is to get sponsored by a Bolivian detergent called "t**t".
