As I said in the build up thread, we need a good performance and result in front of a big crowd.

Not sure quite how that shifted so much our way - Tyler second half was absolutely unrecognisable from the first, Stevens too, McEachran made a big difference as well. Two more games to battle through before the window gets going.

I wonder if that difference makes a case for McEachran to start over McGuane

Think you’re rewriting history here. That first half was so one sided that we could / should have been 4-0 down.

Well done to the team and fans for fighting back
4 0?
They had 2 shots on target in tye whole game and Beadle had little to do? We were very very poor, but not sure that Cambridge would have deserved to have been 4 up.

We were rubbish first half, but just before we scored the winner I commented to my son that Cambridge would probably be quite pleased with the draw. We definitely deserved the 3 points based on second half.

It was 11 shots to 1 at half time. A shot doesn’t need to be on target to have been a good chance. God knows how Brophy missed from 5 yards when it was easier to score (a shot that would count as off target)

Hopefully that will kickstart Des’ reign a little bit. Say what you like about him, but the players are still trying and still care, they just lack a little bit of confidence and we don’t always seem to have a clear plan apart from pass it around slowly at the back and hope for a little bit of individual brilliance, or punt a long ball forwards. Still, two wins in our next two games and things will be looking a lot rosier…

Ball was being moved quicker and more accurately in a positive direction after McEchran came on IMO

It crossed my mind given how slubbornly mills performed that we could have moved him out to right wing when maceachran came on just to see how his 1v1 direct game looked and to protect stevens a bit more

It was quite direct, basically hoof it to the wingers, but maybe that’s the way to deal with teams like Cambridge. Des has still got a bit of a caretaker vibe, but his subs were good again so credit due.

Well maybe, but in the game they had 2 shots on target and I can hardly recall Beadle touching the ball.
We were awful but Cambridge were hardly world beaters and if you can't put more than 2 shots on target, then you don't deserve more than the 1 goal

From the various parts of the game I saw (on ski lifts), we didn’t deserve that result, but sometimes you get the rub of the green, and other times you lose out! Certainly startled a few shoppers in Super U on the way home when the second went in!
