Yeah, in the same shape as Akinfenwa due to inactivity. We could roll him on with 10 minutes to go.And then we sign Jerome Sinclair on deadline day....

Have Charlton not learnt their lesson, jumping in on one of our attacking MF targets and gazumping us..... Remember Marcus Maddiston that didn't work out too well for them!
Defoe Stockton Boyle in that order then we will show we mean business
There must be something about the name barry....I wouldn't get your hopes up Barry seeing as you were messaging me saying that we have no money and massive debts!!
Barker was a show pony when he was with us. As many have observed, he wasn't a team player and only made an effort when he felt like it. We don't want a player with that attitude on our books. Doesn't look as if Rangers do either.Well Rangers are a lot better than us, those players might still be good for us despite not getting into their team. Stop me if I’m being too technical.
In the times before transfer windows there was constant disruption and speculation, with clubs losing players at any point during the season.Do you not think we would do exactly that if we could?!?
We’re not just sat around saying “let’s just wait until deadline day, for a laugh, it’ll be fine”
January is a tricky transfer window to get the right deals done, as teams will be losing players halfway through the season, so will need to make sure they can replace them or at least cope without them, before committing to letting them leave.
Personally, I’d scrap the January transfer window all together, as it just causes too much disruption. Teams had all summer to get their squad right, and that should be that.
It would be more enjoyable that way, as you’d know exactly what the squad was all season, just allow clubs to build bigger squads over the summer, then players could dip in and out of form, injuries could be dealt with, and the whole squad plays their part, without the disruption and anxiety of who you might lose halfway through the campaign, and risk derailing the season.
But the scummy money men wouldn’t ever allow that, so here we are…
That would tie in with the rumour Charlton are matching his Middlesbrough wage while we wouldn’t.
Barker wasn't, and if he can't get into match day squads playing against league opposition which is of a similar quality to us, then you have to question their suitability.Well Rangers are a lot better than us, those players might still be good for us despite not getting into their team. Are you in the know again Scotchegg well I'm waiting?I wouldn't get your hopes up Barry seeing as you were messaging me saying that we have no money and massive debts!!
Couldn't agree more, one of the most frustrating players I've watched, clearly talented but talent is nothing without a good attitude, I hope Robbo is put off signing these types againBarker was a show pony when he was with us. If I remember correctly, Barker was a last-minute signing that Robbo had not expected us to really have a chance on getting, but pounced on when it did materialise as an option last minute. Perhaps this is why not as much research/face-to-face time took place to look into his attitude before signing on the dotted line?Couldn't agree more, one of the most frustrating players I've watched, clearly talented but talent is nothing without a good attitude, I hope Robbo is put off signing these types again
I did wonder about Cadden. I recently watched Class of 92 (documentary on Salford City) and they showed a player recruitment meeting with Ritchie Wellens. Caddens name was brought up and Wellens dismissed it saying he had already agreed to go to Oxford.Yep, Nicky Cadden was expected to complete in the summer and provisional conversations took place between representatives with the player certainly open to a move. I suspect that the price was top end and we saw Billy Bodin as a better short term fix with the expectation of bringing Cadden in on a free in the summer. It will all come down to money, and FGR are in a great position to cash in on promotion so he won't come cheap. But the fact that we were looking at a permanent deal for Browne shows that the money is there.
Barker looked limp and toothless at the weekend in a cup tie vs a Stirling Albion team having a woeful season in Scottish League 2, even by their own less-than-lofty standard.
He’s not getting into league squads vs oppo MUCH poorer than Oxford. Major yellow flag.
Scotchers has already assured us we will be having a record spending transfer window. Despite the ominous signs this far, I have absolutely no reason to doubt him.Are you in the know again Scotchegg well I'm waiting?
Maybe having splashed the cash for Palmer they might splash the cash for CaddenI did wonder about Cadden. That’s what I meantWrexham/Hollywood FC. have signed Palmer, not Salford.
