To avoid transfer deadline registration issues, why not simply sign the player early in the window?

It looks as if Tomasson at Blackburn is terminating his contract over the administration error that ultimately resulted in the failed loan to Oxford of Harry Leonard. Apparently they made a similar mistake on summer transfer deadlines & he wanted to go then, but they persuaded him to stay. Lack of strikers has been the underlying issue.

Signing a free agent? Are you allowed? Prior to January they said we needed more up front. Perkins left and Goodwin came in. Now GOD leaves so we are lighter in numbers than we were. Surely can’t do run in with just 2 strikers.
