4 - 0 Oxford. Pretty much the same starting line up that we've played this season, but more focus, fight and everything will fall into place. 2 goals from corners (Dickie and Ruffels) and 2 from open play (Fosu and Mackie/Taylor).

it'll be a well-fought battle with a good level of mutual respect between players and fans Oxford will have just that bit more in the engine and put them to bed with 2 quick goals deep in the second half

Mrs Lounger and I are on our jolly in Crete, will be lstening in via ifollow and enjoying a few lemonades on the roof terrace. The neighbours will either be treated to a few "FFS" or, we hope, some "Yellow, Yellow!" Either way they won't have a clue! (one lot are Dutch and the other we don't know!) Two hours ahead here as well so late afternoon kick off and then off to town for dinner.

Don't forget I've been spreading the gospel according to Karl to the Dutch for many many years. They should know by now.

Tranmere's only win so far has been the easy 5-0 grab against the Bolton kids. That accounts for half the goals they've scored in 6 matches.
We truly do need to win this one. Let's do it!

1-0 second half goal with a slow and nervy start, Tranmere getting a lot of chances early on. We grow into the game and score on 57 mins.

Struggling with a very moist ciabatta to be baked for a pre-match (in 2 senses) breakfast. Rune-less, I can't see us not conceding without Kashi shoring a rickety back four.

Nevertheless, optimism triumphs as ever and I reckon we'll claw it back to 1-1, a valuable point in the dire circumstances after we manage 20+ shots, including 2 on target, both by Eastwood in a frantic additional 7 minutes of additional time.

Is it a "must win" ? ? ?

I miss the matchday thread of yore.

There was the fella (was it you?) who used to start his post every game with 'Must Win Game'.

And then there was the wag who would respond to every MDT with a prediction of '0-1. Honeymoon Over'

It used to create a sense of comfort and familiarity!

Has Pep Clotet joined the coaching staff?!

I think it will be a hard fought win but certainly won't be as easy and some make it out to be. Mickey Mellon's sides are usually tough to break down and look to be robust and play off the front men.

Their defeats have come away at Bristol, away to Pompey and a home defeat to Rochdale. The only game they should probably of done better with is Rochdale. They beat Bolton's under 9's and got good draws away to Rotherham and at home to Gillingham. The aren't going to come here and just roll over.
