Did anyone else notice KR telling Moore and Dickie to go up and the field and join the celebrations after I think Fosu's goal? A clever bit of gamesmanship. I thought our general professionalism in seeing the game out for the last half hour (especially between the first and third goals) was excellent, and has gone overlooked given the ultimately resounding scoreline.

I watch on I follow but that was my first game since the Man City game last year. Absolutely awesome. A few thoughts...

1. That save by Eastwood hasn’t been mentioned that much but it is an absolute worldie ...he could have been caught cold. we are very lucky to have such a dependable goalie at this level. Contrast him to the strange performance from the keeper at the other end

Yes, Eastwood's save does deserve a mention as it was as you say a worldie. It shows how on top we were that he made 1 worldie, a good save and a routine save which wsa pretty much it.

On their keeper, he did pull off 2 fantastic saves as well, one from Mackie and the other from Sam Long.

He and Shannon were outstanding. Correction they all were.
Sorry but no they ALL weren’t. A fantastic performance and up there in the top ten in recent times. Agree that Shannon, Cam, Sykes, Dickie were outstanding but we really are carrying Robbie Hall. His lack of awareness and tracking back left Long struggling in the first half. In attack he is lacking guile and the pace has gone. He offered no threat apart from the free kick. I’m not sure, to be honest, why some people are seeing this differently. Sympathy? However, a great night out and good to hear the East Stand rocking again.

Agree to a certain extent, and emphasise my post earlier....it served the team better to put Sykes out wide as he offered Long better protection....but that said, I also felt Hall did bits in front of the back two which caused problems....not outstanding...but getting better.

I thought Dickie had two brain fart moments that could have ended differently, so again, not outstanding.

In the first half, they were having some success with Holland and Masuaku teaming up on Long and Hall was sitting deeper to try and help, meaning there was little outlet aside from Mackie who was doing his usual thing (and well, I might add)...With Thorn going off, Sykes replaced Cam in the centre and he took a while to get to the pace of the game. This left Wilshere free to start dictating play...I was hoping Sykes would spark into life.

In the second half, in the Right position, he certainly did. Hecaused them all sorts of trouble going forward and worked well with Long to nullify Anderson when he came on.

Of course, we also then had Baptise picking up Wilshere who was affected by his head bump, and we started tearing into them.

17 shots on target against a Prem team...awesome

I actually thought Robbie had a decent game. Yes, we were overrun down our right at times, but he made some important tackles himself and put West Ham on the back foot by driving forward at every opportunity. When he came more central it wasn't always easy to see his influence, but he ran his socks off rushing their players into mistakes, which created space for others. In a game where there were so many excellent performances it is perhaps easy to see others as being below standard. But everyone played their part, including Hall.

A bit harsh on Hall.
Yes, he is off the pace, and has struggled since returning, but last night, there were a few times when he looked to have a run with the ball and beat his man, his free kick was lovely, and very unlucky, and he played a lovely little ball inside to Baptiste to start the move for Taylor’s goal.

He’s still a long way off, but last night he showed signs that there may still be a glimmer of hope for him.

Time will tell I suppose..

Hall had his best game for us so far this season, yeah he wasn’t as good as some of the other players - but it’s encouraging to see him getting better. If he keeps improving then he can get back to being a decent L1 player, or squad player at least.

Forde and Dickie also weren’t as good as some of the rest, in that they played 7s and 8s our of ten rather than 9s!

Sorry to keep spamming twitter links, but:

Brilliant tackle from Ruffels. Changed the game arguably.

However, it's difficult to watch this clip and not recognise how shabby and disinterested that West Ham side look. Sanchez not interested in the physical tussle with Baptiste, Anderson not bothering to track Sykes at all, and Zabaleta a yard behind Taylor for the cross. Well worked by us but it really shouldn't have been that easy.
