It may not be 'democracy' but it's where we are at and @Essexyellows question was about the here and now.

Just proving there are decent conservatives out there............ small c.

We drift around in the middle and have a huge influence on results but don`t win them all, but are adult enough to accept the results.

Some folk should try it. :)

Sure. But that chain of responses was not to what EY said, but someone else who posted "In our local Labour Party we have just been through a process of re-selecting our MP, she is a reasonably effective, hard working MP. Providing the local Party in Bury South is given the same opportunity ( what some of us would call ā€˜democracyā€™) fair enough. The new candidate in Bury South should then fight a bye-election."

I was disputing whether the local party selecting a candidate was democracy. I don't think it is. I also don't think an elected Member changing sides of the house is antidemocratic.

Unfortunately not. Read it elsewhere via a link and now not working. No doubt other outlets will cover it soon as Sky have eluded to it in their live coverage.
 
Thing is. If Martin gets hung out to dry for this and Boris somehow survives, you can be sure as s**t that Martin knows where ALL the bodies are buried. It's hi job to know as PPS.

The very notion that he wouldn't have mentioned it to the PM (as Cummings is claiming he said he would), seems pretty far -fetched.

It is probably true as we cant believe a word Boris says. I just wonder how many more contortions Bojo will attempt before he gets the heave-ho.

And will count for nought if others agree to testify under oath....and then it comes to light that his silence has been bought by an NDA
