Get over it. You lost! Just move on. Still banging in about it ā¦Not all of them, and the good people could find a solution, and it's not sitting on the opposite benches.
Of course, had they appointed Rory we wouldn`t be having this conversation.
It may not be 'democracy' but it's where we are at and @Essexyellows question was about the here and now.And the best MPs are those who represent their constituents well and serve their community, not those who subscribe to a given manifesto regardless of local considerations.
I know that the party machines have long co-opted these processes in their own favour, but that isnāt democracy.

Sure. But that chain of responses was not to what EY said, but someone else who posted "In our local Labour Party we have just been through a process of re-selecting our MP, she is a reasonably effective, hard working MP. Providing the local Party in Bury South is given the same opportunity ( what some of us would call ādemocracyā) fair enough. The new candidate in Bury South should then fight a bye-election."It may not be 'democracy' but it's where we are at and @Essexyellows question was about the here and now.
Ah, but its ok, the man who denied there were parties, then denied knowing it was a party when he was at a party, doesn't know anything about it....Operation Hound Rescue going in hard:
William Wragg, the Conservative chair of the Commons public administration and constitutional affairs committee, has accused the government of trying to āblackmailā MPs pushing for a confidence vote in Boris Johnson. He made the claim in an opening statement at the start of this morningās committee hearing. Wragg, of course, is one of the few Conservative who has publicly called for Johnson to go.
Here is the statement in full.
Next he'll be saying that nobody told him it was blackmailing....Ah, but its ok, the man who denied there were parties, then denied knowing it was a party when he was at a party, doesn't know anything about it....
"I have seen no evidence [and] heard no evidence."

Thank you - without trying to defend the PM, if this email is true, couldn't he just say 'Martin may have been warned but no-one spoke to me' which seems to have been his latest excuse?

.... or perhaps a (large) suitcase? You are getting it....... literally "I popped out into the garden and there they were".
He probably didn`t even see the email because he has a PPS for that stuff...............
Bus coming for Martin Reynolds or an underling.
Martin might be getting a nice big juicy settlement agreement (with some bespoke NDA wording) very soon.Thing is. If Martin gets hung out to dry for this and Boris somehow survives, you can be sure as s**t that Martin knows where ALL the bodies are buried. It's hi job to know as PPS.
The very notion that he wouldn't have mentioned it to the PM (as Cummings is claiming he said he would), seems pretty far -fetched.
It is probably true as we cant believe a word Boris says. I just wonder how many more contortions Bojo will attempt before he gets the heave-ho.
Hurry up, popcorn isn't getting any cheaper you know!
According to his Wikipedia page, he attended Magdalen College School, Oxford. I wonder if he's an Oxford fan.Martin might be getting a nice big juicy settlement agreement (with some bespoke NDA wording) very soon.
