Tickets 2022/23 season tickets

Did they? I thought they were reduced? Certainly in the east stand
A bit of both @bazzer9461. They were reduced to £299 for early bird purchase, then in July when they went on general sale they went up to £329 which is the current renewal price.

Have to say I am disappointed there is no cup game included, it was last season but we didn't have a game to use it with!

We did just not a proper cup competition and yea I thought they might have added them again this season but hey ho

All prices went up by £30 last season, so if you got the early bird last year it would have been £30 less than it is now. OxVox and OUSP are collating the many messages we have received (positive, negative or neutral!) thank you for sending them in. We will be following up with the club shortly.

What do you mean they went up £30 last season? Fairly sure I’ve paid approx £300 for the last few seasons in oxford mail stand.

The prices went up in late July, after the earlybird renewal period. So, although you would have paid the same price as the previous year if you took the early renewal, someone buying a ST at the end of July or later paid the new price of £30 more.

I say this as someone who has been unable to go, but how easily some things appear to have been forgotten. A number of people paid for a past season and had little use of it, others rallied to the call towards the end of last season and this was an opportunity to entice/reward those that did.
For me it was the wrong time to have an increase and to virtual sneak it in at last years General price is poor, if that was the route they decided to go down why not have a Timeline for ST holders to secure their ticket (and seat ) followed by another one at the same price for those that came through the turnstiles at the end of the season (and prior). You could then have a General sale after that 2nd Timeline.

This was an opportunity to secure much need new support, Floaters and those that may have lapsed for whatever reason and a £60 increase was not the way to go imho.

There has been, sadly, a trend amongst the marketing folk at OUFC to forget a number of things. Has the debacle of last seasons launch been forgotten? Certainly, very little by way of an apology followed. I still recall the promise (empty) of a fans day at the stadium, something which the club could not have facilitated even without the pandemic conditions. The omission of the "U's cash" has been repeated. The poor introduction of digital tickets with a surcharge for those requiring a physical ticket. The lack of a prepared package to replace the 1893 club. (no surprise there, it happens every season)

I may of missed it but am I right in thinking there is no ‘U’s Cash’ this year?

I do feel the club have dealt with the whole season ticket launch poorly this year and considering they want record number or Season Ticket holders this coming year I think they may of shot themselves in the foot.

There isn’t any incentive for the ones that answer the call and turned up for all those record attendances last season to now purchase a season ticket except to pay a higher price than the fans that had a season ticket last season.

I would also say that there are still a lot of fans that haven’t forgotten about the lack of refunds given out for the season we missed.

Yep agree. Why is there not an early bird for new fans to purchase at the same rate as existing season ticket holders renewing? Its not too late to change this either as season tickets don't go on general sale until June. We're trying to encourage more season ticket holders and having to pay £30 more than existing holders isn't the answer!

The "U's cash" was left out of the launch last season and it took a lot of disgruntled ticket holders to remind the marketing department of it's existence. This, along with other issues in the launch, was brought up within the club and, I thought, lessons were learnt. It would appear that the same mistakes are being made again.

I seem to be alone here!
I get a ST as it saves money as I go to most home games.
It allows me to get priority tickets for home Cup games and away games (could even get Swin*** next season)
Personally not bothered about free home game v Northampton in the micky mouse cup.
Hope many people get STs

You're not.

Every year, there's an outcry for some reason (although I do think they've handled it poorly this year). I imagine it's the same at most other clubs.

Get one, or don't, and be happy with the decision.

Yes, totally agree with you and Foley, I don't buy my season ticket for gimmicky offers or giveaways. I buy it as it is value for money if you are going to watch the majority of home games, for which I do.

I buy mine because I support OUFC and like you not to bothered about gimmicks but also having an ST I am guaranteed a ticket for the cup games and as @Foley states we may have that money form the nether reaches of the A420.
I also look at the people moaning they couldn’t get a ticket to said games because they’ve sold out, they do get pointed out to them but only if you had an ST you would have got a ticket, the you wait for a reply to that and wait and wait and wait…….
