Manning would never of gone off script anyway, I think we all no he is very PR trained so no real point ever listening to any interviews. I (mostly) enjoyed watching us under him and he did a good job in the short time he was here but after the initial phase I never went out of my way to put Radio Oxford on the way home, you could guess what he was going to say, which was admittedly a refreshing change from the nonsense just before him.

Surely there should be some sort of regulations about this kind of thing.

How many times has it been stopped?
Betting on a next manager is so open to insider trading that I'm amazed bookies allow it. I guess they make more money from punters not in the know than they lose to punters who are. Still seems odd to me though.

They won't let you stick much on I should think, if you tried putting a hundred quid on they would reject it and close the market/book on that person, they are not going to give up the edge that easily. Even if you tried doing it in dribs and drabs through different accounts they should pick that up.

Aren't The Sun and Talksport owned by the same people?

I imagine Rupert Murdoch is personally handling it so that all of the News Corp 'family' are aware.

Expect The Times to have a front page on Des soon enough.

To be fair, they’ve done brilliantly to keep the whole process completely under wraps. Nobody has a clue who the new person is going to be.
What, so you're saying there is a lot of horseshit being posted here? Unbelievable.

I would say a hefty compensation package from a supporters view is positive, it shows the owners are in it for the long haul and have faith in DB. It would have been very easy to go for the 'cheap' option in Eustace/Jones for example however they want to make a statement to us, the players and the rest of L1 that we are going for it. Fair play to them and lets get behind him!

It’ll be interesting to see if ‘let’s get behind him’ translates into a home sell out for the next home game, against 3rd in the league, no less.

I believe his aunty has said he can have a bit of the rent if he gets the players in to do a few odd jobs about the place, Elliot Moore and Tyler Goodrham are painting the front room next week and Sam Long and Cameron Brannagan have already said they will lay a new patio when the weather gets a bit better. The haggling has actually been about what slabs to use, nothing to do with Mumbai, his auntie wants porcelain but Sam long doesn't think she has the budget for them.
