Dot Counting Home Sellout for Boxing Day vs Cambridge

Attendance tracking
This is a strange thread to be looking for a fight over, and with all the wrong posters!

No one is looking to give the club a kicking, no one is moaning for the sake of it.

We're just seeing a number of well intended posters expressing frustration at the way the club is a bit too passive and a bit too bland with its marketing and communication. The club would argue that season ticket sales have increased, attendance is up, and we'll see back to back crowds that are well over 10,000. And they'd be right. But it's not unfair to say that with a little imagination and good chunk more spark could see us doing so much better.

We don't need Saatchi & Saatchi or some random tiktok flashmob trending, we just need those who get paid to get information out to the paying public early and often, and to do so in a way that grabs people attention.
If we ever even considered using Saatchi and Saatchi I’d never ever support this club again!!

We are all assuming that the people we want to see various promo threads do all the time AND act on them. Even for the most ardent- immediate support doesn't always materialise in this or any other campaigns in other walks of life no matter how well meaning they are. BTW telling us that people who don't normally come to matches have bought tickets beforehand is DOOMLADEN! 😱🤣

Warning - mildly critical post alert (for those unable to see the value of encouraging people to games!!!)

Social media in the build up to match day is generally a little quieter so we could do with a post that promotes the last few tickets remaining for Cambridge whilst also pushing the Derby game. We should absolutely aim for a complete Boxing Day sellout today to give a whole week of focusing on doing the same for next Friday night.

Nothing special, just a little nudge would be enough.

Why don’t you just come out and say you want to be the club’s Head of Social Media Comms :geek:

First point; briefly, if you or someone else has been doing a good job and the club now don’t recognise that then I’d try and negotiate a continuation for that person or accept that sometimes a new broom comes with new management, says thanks and walk away. Sounds a shame to do that but sometimes that’s for the best. Second, I’m guessing you’re saying that the right person knows what the issues are, but things aren’t changing and won’t change. If that’s the case, we won’t solve that one here, that one’s down to negotiations outside of an internet forum.
By the way, if you’re the one referred to in the first paragraph, sounds like you’ve had a rough time of it, we all like to be appreciated even if we don’t need it.
Have you just landed from Mars or somewhere? You seem clueless about what good people have done for this club in the past and continue to try and do, or is it just your intention to wind those people up? That's what it looks like.

What a strange fellow you are.

I was asked a question, I answered it. Sorry / not sorry if you didn’t agree with it.
I don’t come on here to pick fights, I just don‘t like moaning. There’s at least one person on here who has a right to complain, but moaning for the sake of moaning is just tedious, and to me, pointless.
And no I’m not clueless, there’s obviously been some good work in the past but if there‘s more to be done, and those trying to do it have reached some kind of impasse, someone else might well need to help take things further.

Would that be you volunteering?

Or, just who would this "someone else" be?

Many of us have and are doing what we can to highlight what we perceive as inadequacies on the part of the club. You seem to be saying that by highlighting those inadequacies on here, we are merely moaning.

Meanwhile.......

11.30am on Saturday and now only 234 home seats left.

11 of the 25 Blocks are sold out and 10 more Blocks have single figures left. Only single seats left now apart from in Blocks 1 and Block 2 (only a few).

East Stand sold out
North Stand has 18 seats left (Block 25 now sold out and only 2 left in Block 24)
South Stand Upper has 51 seats left
South Stand Lower has 165 seats left (131 of them in Block 1)

I certainly would, but I don’t have the time, or the inclination.
And it’s fine to highlight inadequacies, just don’t come on here moaning about them if nothing has been done about them, or tried to be done.

You are doing a lot of moaning about people moaning.

Just did a tally on the Derby match and approx 200 sales in the past 24 hours - there are now 2,196 home seats left (down from 2,390 yesterday morning).

Remaining seats are split:

North Stand - 522 (selling by far the fastest, especially central blocks 25 and 24)
East Stand - 515
South Stand Lower - 740
South Stand Upper - 419

That means home sales of 7,358 so far. With Derby having sold their allocation of 1,497 overall seat sales are at 8,855 (plus boxes).

you would volunteer, but you can’t and don’t want to? 😂
Correct. I certainly don’t have time and I couldn’t care that much even if I did. Love the club but my days of influencing change are behind me. Plenty more challenges to fill my time nowadays.
