OUSP News

It was raised on the pre match Rovers thread that home fans could buy tickets for £10 in their new stand. Whereas away fans were charged much more for either terrace or seats.

Did OUFC agree to this ? There is a four times per season discount for home fans that can be done with either equivalent for away fans , or the away team waives their discount.

A few fans were able to move for terrace to the seats during the match but that wasn’t something I knew of before the game and they would have paid full price anyway.

If I’d known there were £10 seats behind the goal I’d have gone there.

This has been raised through OUSP as it goes against EFL regulations. Hopefully we will be able to provide an update shortly.

If we accepted their £10 prices for home fans and didn’t want the same for us I will be annoyed.

915 away fans ripped off.

A Club may not depart from the Pricing Plan without the prior consent of the relevant Away Club. In the event that the Home Club and Away Club are unable to reach agreement the dispute shall be referred to The League whose decision shall be final and binding.

No Club shall charge higher admission prices for visiting supporters for accommodation that is ranked as comparable with or inferior to that used by supporters of the Home Club in the same or next highest ranked accommodation.

Did we have an offer for a home game before Christmas?
Something like season ticket holders could buy a match ticket for a friend for half-price?
I wonder if we made some sort of offer to the away team? eg buy two tickets and get the cheaper one half price?

I raised this with the Bristol Rovers SLO, OUFC SLO, Bristol Rovers ticketing manager and OUSP. Having been copied to the FSA, it will end up with the EFL.
Did you ever hear anything back from any of them?
Or did OUSP hear anything?

I have been led to believe that feedback/resolution is due soon. Not heard anything more than that. @OUSP anticipate an update before the Fans Forum.

BRFC is ongoing. We have asked FSA to raise it on our behalf with the EFL next week.

Yes, we are aware of the issues Exeter had. It was very similar. We've been talking to the FSA along with Exeter, and it will be raised with the EFL this week. It doesn't feel right that the visiting club ends up out of pocket in this instance, when BRFC do not appear to have followed the regulations.
With the various discussions already taking place, we don't want to get into further discussion on social media.

I hope the FL can hold back and transfer the appropriate money from BRFC so Exeter get the money they deserve for doing the right thing. Likewise I hope we get the same so our supporters can get compensated. I haven't a clue if they can or can't.

On the face of it, classless behaviour from Brizzle. I hope they don't want help in the future as they've possibly burnt some bridges with this approach.

If OUFC just issued a statement saying that they had agreed to the £10 promotion on the basis of solidarity with other clubs, and that the £10 promo was one of the four permitted home fans only each season, then that would close the matter.

Instead we are just left with no communication as usual, leaving us fans speculating.

The truth behind all this is that BRFC need to fill that South stand to get a valid test for a safety certificate. They failed against Exeter and so tried again against us. Bit tin pot when they can't fill a stand with their own supporters with tickets at only £10 or £1 for kids!

If it were that simple they would.

They say posting same speculation on social media. "Feel right" and "appear to" is speculation not fact. :)
