Would you be happy with your wife or daughter being called a bitch for making a mistake at work? Personally, it doesn't sit right with me and I'm not sure there's any place for it.

She wasn't the greatest referee I've ever seen, but was a long way from being the worst. That may have come across differently on TV than live, but I certainly didn't come away from the game thinking bitch, c**t or t**t were appropriate.

Would you be happy with your son being called a w****r by thousands of people at work?

The ones I saw in a police bubble were behind the East Stand and were singing Oxford songs. Also their mates in the leaving Oxford crowd were egging them on so those ones were definitely Oxford.
I suspect they’d gone round the far end to pavement dance the exiting Wednesday fans and the Police sorted them out thankfully.
I was in the east stand and never saw anything not saying it didn’t happen. But the original post stated they were walked through the crowd

My observations

Thought Eastwood was very good, as someone else said the two kicking errors at the start one bobbled right in front of him and the over was an over hit pass from long. Made some key saves and catches from crosses.

Thought Moore was very good during the game - seemed to win a lot of his battles.

Marcus Browne - I thought was really good, I am not his biggest fan, but today he worked really hard and has always had the skill. Looked to me like he trusted his body more and was fearing injury.

Joseph looked a threat second half on the right and would definitely start him there rather than through the middle as gave us a good outball.

We still lack a real attacking threat but felt we created a few chances where we just chose the wrong option or overhit the final pass. Overall was promising from the team - fingers crossed for a similar performance and 3 points on Monday.

The fans being escorted by police were Oxford fans, saw them as I went from the corner of the East Stand and South Stand so they were coming from the South Stand direction.

Ciaron brown motm was the one running forward and passing forward trying to create in the first half and then defended the second half while are attackers finally woke up

No, and I don't condone that either. I've often given a few FFS or WTF's to referees but I've long given up on abusing the person.

Just having a browse at the Owls forum.

So at the moment we could be down to ten men since mid way through first half and should have conceded a penalty.

H

Be a look at the Port Vale forum and read their summary of Jack Stevens. It's not great reading.
Just took a look, comments range from Stevens being a clown to never want him in a Vale shirt again. Additionally they don't seem impressed with Taylor commenting that he constantly falls over.

I have found it much better to judge refs purely on attendance and time keeping, as long as they turn up and are on time that’s about as good as it gets, it doesn’t make them any better but it helps keep you sane and keeps the blood pressure down.

Another beaut of their forum.

Yep, this is the first time I can remember feeling like the ref has been biased towards us in quite some time.

Vaulks could have easily had a red, and they should really have had a penalty.

We're getting away with a lot so far here.

Alot of positives today but we need that for every cup final coming up. Great second half. My other half's family are huge Vale fans my brother in law kept them going for a while .But please a win or a draw at the worst. COYY.

We've got a threadbare squad and need an overhaul in the summer, but Stevens and Taylor are not the answer.

It sounds like Port Vale were poor today and will have at least three changes to make with Stevens and Taylor unable to face us and Ojo sent off. Unfortunately its hard to say whether they'll be strong or weaker because of the changes!

I watched this game with my Wednesday supporting mate.
We both agreed a draw was a fair outcome. But I still think we looked better going forwards
Other results were ok. I think job done.

The link up play and counter-attacking between GOD and Joseph in the second half was also very encouraging. We haven't ran or pressured defenders all season it feels!

I don't think any of the keepers are good enough, although second half today was as good as I've seen Eastwood for ages. Stevens had a good first season but I think he was overhyped by a lot of our fans, as is often the way with football fans. He was rubbish for us last year and seems to be the same for Vale this year. We could do with a complete overhaul unless it turns out McGinty is really good and cuts out some of the nonsense.

Eastwood was poor. At fault for the goal- beaten from distance again. A great strike but he was out of position, and looked frail throughout
