Reduction in number of away fans.

How about ..... Move the segregation to the away side of block 26, which does reduce the away allocation, give us the home fans have half of block 26, Colin moves his seat to middle of block 26 and controls the crowd (bit like Robert Maxwell v Pompey in early 1980's)

As confirmed by OUSP, the decision was made to allow stewarding to be positioned on each side of the segregation line. It was felt it was impossible to put stewards on the away side of the segregation previously.

This is a consequence of a series of incidents at games last season which saw a larger number of away fans ejected in comparison to home fans.

We were not consulted in the decision marking process.

The question we have posed to the club is how will they stop so many away fans being able to book seats in the home sections of the north stand on some of the higher profile games this season.

I still don't understand how this applies to OUFC alone, I can't even remember going to away games and there being 2 lines of stewards with segregation in between.

For most clubs, 1 line of stewards and some segregation is sufficient, and I don't believe for one moment that there are less incidents at other grounds than ours, especially when we're looking at 2/3x the away attendance. Example away ends below, one line of stewards on one side of the segregation:

The last two pictures show exactly what the club are probably trying to avoid. Police inside the ground.

Police are always inside the ground, especially with any sizeable away attendance.

Police are always inside the ground but usually just the spotters which is about 4 officers.

More police inside the ground costs the club and resourcing the seg can be done by stewards.

In the 15 League games we have visited the Manor or Kassam we have taken less than 1000 (988) once in Aug 2014 in the height of the summer holidays. Your lowest attendance at Adam’s Park is 823 in Sept 2000.

823 travelled to watch that 2000 Oxford side? Blimey, that's dedication. Was that the one that was live on Sky?

Anyway, what point are you trying to make?

Who regularly sells out the others away end? Who has a higher average away attendance? Who gets bigger home attendances? Who at this moment in time really cares actually.

It was live on Sky on a Friday night.

Check out average away attendances for ALL games and you'll find OUFC's away following is about double Wycombe's over the years, probably more, if that's the point you're trying (and failing) to make. Although your stats could prove that the games between us mean a lot more to you than they do to us!
