Away Match Day Thread +++ 1/1/2019 Plymouth Argyle v OUFC match day thread+++

Still yet to win a league away game this season. Lack of B*****s in this side. Nelson can go to hell too. Thinks he's too good for this club, but what other club would want him when he plays like this?

Awful game awful defending awful midfield awful in front of goal
Poor decision with team, personally I think Dickie shouldn’t be playing and Mous should
Tactically ...... actually do we have any tactics ????
Relegation fight
KR says he has 4 or 5 players he’s looking at but looking at the league table will they want to come here .....

Right here goes maybe premature but what the f**k,
At the top of the programme Robinson said we can’t compete with the likes of Sunderland and Pompey in that case what the f**k are we saying aim for the championship we would be relegated after one season. FFS we can’t compete with the shithole that is Fleetwood and with their crap crowds they do better than us.
So what’s the answer? A new manager possibly as I think Robinson’s recruitment has been crap.
If and its a big if we were stay in this league (personally I doubt) I would like to see the release of most of our useless players because to be frank that’s what they are,
I think probably get 3 points on March 2nd at home against Scunthorpe as I can’t see where we get any before then, there are 8 games before then and I certainly can’t see any out of the 24 points that are there before the Scunthorpe game.
Unless Tiger is prepared to put up a couple of million for transfers in January then it will be bye bye League 1 hello League2

What's worse is that whilst other teams you might think could come back and score 2 ..we never look like we have the strength..and has not playing Mous backfired considering we lost with him anyway in midfield???

All the management do (and I include Tiger in this) is talk about what’s coming up or ‘wait for an announcement’.

We get nothing. We need players in. Anyone have faith in Tiger delivering them?

Another completely abject performance so far. You can forget saying it’s all about being physically tired, we are mentally not there just like the last few games. No movement from throw ins, no willing recipients when we have the ball, aimless hoofs to Mackie who is half a foot shorter than the centre backs every week... this is utterly terrible. Again.

Our record against the teams down there and around us speaks for itself also. We are showing absolutely no bottle and no interest, and I’m sorry, but that man on the side needs to take some responsibility for that. You can harp on about not being able to do anything once the players cross the white line, but players who are motivated and want to play for you will show more than this.

And how the hell we STILL aren’t going to have won an away game after this from the looks of it... how bad do we have to be to be the only side in the entire league who can say that by the time January rolls around?

This is really, really poor. I feel so sorry for Gavin Whyte. All the energy and willingness in the world, and with the ability to beat men and cause problems, and every time he gets it he doesn’t have a single person showing for a pass let alone making a run. And the rest of the time he’s watching the ball being aimlessly slung towards a short, immobile centre forward where it then bounces back towards our goal.

Bottom three as it stands. What an absolutely enormous month January will be, on all fronts.

Get out Robinson, quickly. Clearly not the right fit for our club. He’s had his chance and Fresh impetus needed now

The problem is, what is a new manager going to do? When he's had a squad of fit players, KR has got decent results - see our unbeaten run. But as a previous poster said, the squad just looks dead on its feet because its so thin, and our performances (and results) are suffering. Recruitment in January could change that. But if we're being priced out of a sufficient standard of player, as it seemed happened in the summer, we could have Pep Guardiola as manager and we still wouldn't be able to bring in the right players. No amount of 'fresh impetus' is going to mend players' injuries, resolve their fatigue or make them willing to take a cut in wages to play for us.

This is pretty shocking though.

FFSx2.... we were creating chances , then shipped another, (& nearly a 3rd too)...Garbutt off (& back to Everton), &Mous on at HT

unless we can turn this into the proverbial game of two halves.... as well as the predicament 3 defeats consecutively leaves us in, Im in for some serious ( & justifiable!) revenge banter after fulltime, with my mate dishing out what hes been on the end of from me twice this season. If for nothing, come on U's collectively get your shooting boots on at HT, 2 or more 2nd half goals aint too much of an ask, is it?

certainly some of the more cynical Argyle fans around me think not only is an Oxford 2nd half come back a possibility, they think its more than that!

mackie should have had 2 goals and other misses god only knows terrible body language after the second goal

Robinson HAS to go. Dreadful.

Let someone else come and give us a fighting chance.

Please Tiger. Please.

All comes back to the poor summer transfer window in my opinion. The players that did so well to start pulling us out of the mire we were in are now knackered having played so many matches, and we haven't got anyone else to turn to.

Unless some big signings are made in January, I think we'll be in League 2 next season.

i follow tv is so cheapskate apart from the commentary

The players are probably not there mentally because they listen to a manager who’s basically thrown in the towel. How can they be mentally positive when the manager says he has an impossible job?!

Unfortunately we aren't bringing 4 or 5 in..that's the short list for one position
