Away Match Day Thread +++ L1 29/12/2019 AFC Wimbledon v OUFC +++

AFC Wimbledon, they really are obnoxious on and off the field IMO
Madness when there is already a sell out. Could have been some extra income for the club, just need to decide on the day (given that the EFL dont really advertise anyway) rather than adopt a "its going to mess with attendances, NO!" approach

Has anybody managed to buy a video pass for today? Only showing audio pass for me

Hall played better in a more central role against West Ham with Sykes and Long linking up well on the right. I'm not so sure Baptiste is at his strongest on the left, but it does make us very compact to deal with the thuggery from Wimbledon.

I think Brannagan will be the key today, with him hopefully finding a bit of space to play his A game.

Slight revision on the score, Oxford 2 nil. Mackie and Brannagan.

Far too much rotation. This could cost us. Since when has Baptiste been a winger?
Should you change a winning side?

Hi folks. Well the Wombles won't have been able to predict that line-up. It will take then 30 minutes to decide who is Sykes and who is Baptiste.
Normally I forecast a 3 or 4 goal win, but today I'm going for a 1-0 win and be happy with it.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS

Baptiste will be the first scorer and Sykes the second

The bus parked? Don't like the 3 behind Mackie, can't figure out how we're going to play.

Agreed that Brannagan is key here. Without Henry in the starting lineup, there's not a lot of passing ability and linkup play between that front four.

A surprising amount of negativity here (albeit from the usual posters) about rotation, despite the fact we've proven ourselves to be a top class side over the past three months, against just about every type of side put in front of us.

last throw of the dice for Hall before farmed out on loan?

assuming he doesnt get literally kicked all over the pitch & out of the game... and picks up another injury

I have seen Baptiste play in the left of a three before.
So not an unusual position for him and he us very capable of playing there.
And it us very simple to move Bapriste back and play 4 3 3.
It sounds like rotation is the right thing to do based on illness, knocks and fatigue.
