Goals win games and we have scored 6 goals in the last 11 games, 3 of those in one match v Doncaster so that’s just 3 goals in the other 10 matches.

Abysmal for a so called "attack, flair" manager. Were bloody boring with our relentless sideways and backwards passing.

Generally I’m a positive person and I’ve been quite supportive of Robinson. We’re realy missing Long and Henry and Gorrin is disastrously out of form, but there was no excuse for that ludicrous lineup and the total inability of the midfield to pass, against a terrible team.

Totally agree. No ball control. No composure. Winnall only able to foul. Absolute shambles

It is extremely concerning that our manager seems to think that we must accept that a team with promotion ambitions has a set game plan against a relegation threatened opponent to keep it tight at 0-0 for 60 minutes expecting that we are good enough to turn on the style for the last 30 minutes and win the game comfortably. Deluded. Arrogant. Stupid. If he can't see that he is relying on a large chunk of luck to fall our way in those last 30 minutes we have a problem. If he can't see that the plan is doomed for failure if we concede and go 1-0 down we have a problem.

This is not difficult stuff. Last Tuesday he put out a team that won the game with 45 minutes spare. Why the change of tactics and mindset, surely he couldn't have such a short term memory loss? Wonder what the players are thinking about the obscure and mindless tactical switch?

And did he not study the opposition? It is only a few weeks ago that we played them at home and they are essentially exactly the same side. 1st half at home was utterly forgettable, dreadful performance from both sides, as boring and unimaginative you can get. 2nd half we came out with purpose, passed the ball quicker, pressed high, put the ball in the box, scored 4 goals. That was our opponent. Tactics sheet should have been easy on the basis that our opponents were the same, possibly even worse than a few weeks ago - do the same as the 2nd half of the home game. But no, 2 defensive midfielders in front of a back four, keep it tight, don't pass the ball, don't put the ball in the box, hoof it forward and hope for the best. If it's 0-0 at 60 minutes job done, well done round of applause and pray for a slice of luck to get us over the line.

No doubt we will win on Friday with scintillating football and lots of goals and our manager will be smiling on the TV gloating how great he is at the end. And we would be happy with it too at that moment, but at the same time will be very frustrated looking back at the last 4 days and thinking why did he mess it up so badly, throwing away our chances of doing something this season by completely over-thinking the task in hand rather than keeping it simple and sticking to basics. It is simply not acceptable how inept the tactics have been, they have been so obviously wrong and completely not appropriate for the opposition we faced and showed a complete lack of preparation and understanding of our opponents and failing to recognise and play to our own strengths.

Friday will be an embarrassment. KR is not going anywhere (unfortunately).
Good job the fans were not there tonight.

If the fans were there, we would have won that game or at least we would not have played in such an insipid, turgid manner - the encouragement from the stands would have seen to that...

I’m not sure. He’s quite insecure about Appleton and the fact that he achieved something here that people hold close to their hearts, and was universally liked when he moved on. I’ve witnessed the discomfort up close in conversation, and the way Appleton pulled his pants down on the opening day really hurt. Throw in the Sky cameras and this is one he will want to win more than most. There will be plenty of talk about MA coming back and everything he achieved with the club, and that won’t sit well. I think he’s actually had one eye on Lincoln for the last few days, and that’s partially why tonight was so lacklustre and saw such a big change around.

He will want to win.

We’d have even If the fans were there, we would have won that game or at least we would not have played in such an insipid, turgid manner - the encouragement from the stands would have seen to that...
We’d have won if we’d just kept calm and played a normal midfield, Kelly or Forde, whoever, Sykes on the wing, just keep your head, you’re better than them.

DOnt know why we tried the long ball rubbish, we’re terrible at it. You know that saying, don’t wrestle with a pig - you get covered in s**t and he likes it.
But we’ve proven in last Saturdays game playing it square and backwards we’re pretty s**t at that as well

That was a staggeringly inept performance by both management and players.

But mainly, by the management.

This was the most important game of the season. Yet we decided to start two stiffs and an unfit Gorrin. The game was up at that moment.

Who else thought when the team was announced that Robinson had lost it?

Why not bring in Hall, or Chambers as an alternative? Why was Agyei exiled to the wing? We all know he is a centre forward by now. FFS, what were you thinking Robinson...

Our manger has a growing charge sheet in blowing the big games .

But what made it even worse tonight is we were eventually out compete and out strengthed by the Dog and Duck.

Almost reminded me of the Marlow cup game, so quickly did we fall to their level.

Terrible night for the supporters.

Which ones were the stiffs? That could apply to most of them.

Henry was shite before he got injured.

I generally like what Karl has built here at Oxford in the time that he’s been here, BUT we haven’t achieved anything, is he a nearly man??? - I think this season is done with personally, maybe the new owners will want to shake things up a bit, time will tell!

Trouble is decent managers at our level have just started new jobs, Paul Cook and Mr Cowley
