Home Match Day Thread +++ 07/04/2018 OUFC v Oldham Athletic Match Day Thread +++

f*****g hell those last minute goals have been priceless. The difference between being 5 points outside the relegation zone and being 3 away from a team with a game in hand.

If in the bizarre aftermath of some future nuclear holocaust, the only two teams left inexplicably unscathed in the blast were Oxford United and Oldham Athletic, I confidently predict that our record in the subsequent season would be;

P46 W0 D46 L0 F0 A0 Pts 46

There would then follow endless futile goalless playoffs in order to determine who were champions and who finished bottom.

P.S. Yes I know we won there in August.

Oldham were poor we have gotta be beating them. Seriously wes Henry and obeika deserve a exceptional mention for shitness. Dickie played well though and mous did ok.

Well, that was shite. Its going to the wire i think as we're not good enough to take the steps we need to make ourselves safe earlier.

Dickie mom by a mile. Great signing.

I like your thinking, could Oldham not win it on alphabetical order?

Yes, but this was a red letter day for us. We were playing a struggler at home, and most of our rivals were playing better sides. Walsall and Blackpool, clearly, have helped their cause enormously.

Looks very much like Bury, Cobblers and MKD are going down. There are now about four teams vying to avoid 21st spot. Problem is, if we cannot beat Oldham at home, where are our points coming from? It's not a disaster, but hardly inspiring confidence that we are going to win a game. Think we may have to rely on AFCW to do poorly in the run-in. That Scunny equaliser will have hit them hard, having led all game.

On paper this looked to be 0..0 ...it does make you wonder when you have games like these..was it true we once scored goals..still clean sheet and all that!

Probably been mentioned and can't take all the blame but that ref. How did there LB stay on the pitch, Kane was lucky to be on the pitch.

We were sitting far too deep and if we survive we desperately need a striker.

5 points needed and 2 bogey teams next.

Obika is awful

Awful touch (and I've never seen him involved in a full bloodied 50/50). Would love to see his pass completion stats, can't be much more than 10%. Brannagan however...cant remember him not finding a yellow shirt today (with either foot). Him and Dickie stand out performers for me. Followed by Ricky and Kane who showed endeavour. (Rothwell and Ledson also triers and put a real shift in)
