Manager/Coach Robbo to WBA

And also, his record as Ryan pointed out, suggests otherwise.
Once more i will ask Who will take us to the next level and why?

Given bigger teams in our League where exactly should we have finished?

Did most fans at the start of the season suggests play offs

Where do you think we should finish this coming season?

Would Charlton and Ipswich not have suggested we were a basket case what with all the Hmrc + issues? yet we still finished above them

I also recall you stating a few weeks back they you bet we wouldn't finish above Pompey and I was happy to take the 10/1 and i further said we'd finish above Gillingham and Charlton and Ipswich.

If fans haven't enjoyed this season what with all that's been going on then maybe just maybe it's time for realism and a lowering of expectations.

If Pep Guardiola was our manager and we’d won everything with him, I swear someone on here would say ‘he’s bald though’, or ‘he’s too tall’, or ‘too short’, or some other old B*****s.
We’re in League 1, Robinson is a good/ very good League 1 manager. When we‘re up in the Championship or PL then perhaps we might need to look elsewhere but until then, he’s about as good as we‘ll get for our level.

I bet some of the Liverpool fans mutter about Klopp because they don’t like Germans.

It’s a bit tiring to discuss Karl because people fall into factions. Why can’t we say he has done A and B well and deserves credit for C but has messed up with X and Y, therefore my conclusion is Z. I guess I’m just MOR.

As said above, if you haven’t enjoyed the last two seasons then you really don’t like football.

You’re exaggerating though, I’m pretty sure if we’d won everything then no-one at all would be questioning the manager. You could just as well say ‘I swear if Robinson got us back to back relegations down to non-league someone on here would be saying ‘yeah but he really cares about the club and does so much behind the scenes’’

Don’t get me wrong, I think that playoffs two seasons in a row is good, I’m just saying that some of the criticism he gets is due to the perceived failure, and it’s too much to say it would still be said on here if for example we’d gone up last season and stayed up in the Championship this year

A middle of the road manager? What a load of old pony.

He's been more than a manager at this football club. He has been the only person to converse with the supporters when things were going financially pear shaped. He was the only person to converse with the fan base when we were having a fortnightly HMRC crisis. He has changed the ethos of the club and has a huge significant influence on mental health across all areas of the football club. He is genuinely interested and promotes youth, we have had a decent conveyor belt of youth coming through into this first team squad over a period of time. He has got this club into the play-offs, twice. He has nurtured players to turn healthy profits for a loss making football club.

He's a little more than a middle of the road lower league manager.
Yes, he's great at putting his nose up people's arses, and raising his profile. If he and his agent did a bit less of that and Karl focused more on his recruitment and shocking starts to THREE campaigns on the trot, then maybe, just maybe he might not be the middle of the road manager most of us know him as. I personally do not think he's got what it takes.

You should read Ryanio's post several times until the penny drops, for you.

"Most of us", what survey of Oxford fans is that assumption based on?

I would say most fans know that from the reasons stated throughout this and many other posts, are not happy with Kr. Most of my oufc friends also want a change. Is that ok for you?

Brilliant post. Im not going to spend time analysing Robbo but the playoff balls up has once again identified him as an upper level league 1 manager. He doesnt have that extra bit to get us over the line.

Appy will manage in the Championship again. before Robbo. Wilder is in a different universe.
Where is this different universe? I have been taught that there is only one.

Well I think most can see both sides and are broadly fairly happy with things. Apart from people who pop up with an agenda maybe.

He also cares very much for the football club.

I don’t give a monkeys how much someone cares, they are paid to do a job, and it’s a points business.

There are patterns forming!

We always start slowly why?
We can’t beat the better clubs in the league why?
We always blow hot and cold have a good run followed by a bad one why?
KR never starts Agyei when it’s deserved why?
He always makes his subs too late for them to make an impact why?
He’s not very pro active of flexible with his formations why?
KR is obsessed with wingers why?
KR never accepts the blame for poor results why?
KR puts players under the bus why?
KR always mentions things about possible transfers and tells us they are imminent, yet we must wait longer why? Better to say nothing at all!

I could go on

Not really, no. Most of your OUFC supporting friends want a change is basically what you are saying and some people on a forum. You implied most of the fan base, I've seen absolutely no evidence of this!

While we could be doing better if we hadn't sold loads of quality players then we would likely be in the Championship. We don't have a top budget while we play excellent football and have been in the top 6 two seasons in a row. If that is not successful for the size of our club then the guys with an agenda are actually unrealistic in what they expect in reality .

I bet Man U and Liverpool fans still moan, I know Arsenal ones do. I think the people who moan now would also moan in the championship if we bumped along in 14th with a lot of draws.
