Yep, this is the key. I mean there have been thousands of reports of murders and violent assaults on Oxford fans, when the club play at home. I know so many people who would go and watch Oxford but tell me it is just so scary where the ground is!
Very rough?, mad dog obviously needs to get out about a bit more if he wants to see real 'very rough' areas!

Suspect ‘takeover’ announcement is being delayed because new owners want to announce stadium related development at the same time.

Club are not handling this matter particularly well from a PR perspective imo. There’s a sense of drift and a losing of momentum. Clearly there’s been some new money whacked in; not every L1 team has 12 wingers on the payroll.

So let’s have some announcements quickly please and let’s have a off field growth plan that supporters can buy into.

On field strategy is pretty coherent though and Robinson is continuing to do a good job. I’m sure he’s looking at us being really up with the leading pack by the end of the month as upcoming fixtures are not unkind.

I get the frustrations on here, but we’ve had 30 years of things being over promised and under delivered, particularly in regards to a Stadium. I don’t know anymore than most on here, but maybe this is just normal, and what happens when something really is afoot? Let’s face it, we’ve hardly had much positive experiences of this sort of thing to compare this current approach too.

Certainly reading between the lines looks more promising than past ventures.

Apart from the new board are actively seeking to build a new stadium, which everyone knows can’t see how that would slay an announcement.

Randoms:
- think Kemp was sacked before the last game at the Manor. Fordy in charge that night?
- Feb 06 at a heated open meeting Kassam said he would never sell the club without the Stadium then a month or so later did exactly that
- very likely that Kassam milked the profit on the Manor site for his own benefit. Heard a few counter arguments over the years but not convincing given the debt he passed on to sockless
- delay at EFL re ownership rumoured to be an issue with incompatible fax machines. We are having to downgrade our Hutchinson Model to solve the problem .

Disclaimer: I have tested positive for "The Snuffle" (sorry, EY) and are experiencing moments of delirium.

PS: still don't know how we lost to PSG last week. Clotet must go!

Would make sense why I was told we won't hear anything until next season. Maybe they are waiting for Kassam to sell, obviously they will want to build a new stadium elsewhere but that will take years.

Maybe the land the new owners are interested in will be given to Kassam as part of a deal to buy the whole Michery farm site, which they will then redevelop[emoji2369]

I would think obtaining a site in the Oxford area with permission for housing is probably a piece of p*ss in comparison to obtaining a site with permission for a new stadium/leisure facilities. And Kassam fulfills his desire to maximize the value through housing development.

So maybe "levelling up" MF and Science park sites, complete with new stadium and train station (still on the cards as far as I'm aware) is on the table as a more realistic option.....[emoji848]

I was at the fans forum where kassam himself said, "i took all the risks so I'm entitled to the profit from the Manor sale". 6m from memory

Going full on conspiracy theory here, perhaps the business plan involves leaving the Kassam before a new back-up stadium in the local area is built and needing a groundshare / a move out of the county. That could have the EFL's knickers in a twist if somehow the club could become homeless.

I reckon it’s the new ground that’s holding things up.

I suspect that the site has already been identified and the associated palms greased/egos stroked/commitments to future investments made to ensure planning applications are successful. I wouldn’t mind betting that Kassam might very well be involved to a greater or lesser extent in those conversations also.

However there’s a LOT of ducks to line up and I don’t think we’ll hear anything formally until they are.

Welcome aboard the Redevelopment Bus, please take a seat and fasten your safety harness, it might be a bumpy ride! :ROFLMAO:

No, Kassam will not be involved.

May I ask, will that be before all the holes in the cheese line up….or after? Perhaps It's all just ham-fisted salami-slicing by the bean counters?

(N.B. No metaphors have been harmed nor mixed in the constructing of these and many other questions)

No, Kassam will not be involved.
I’m obviously not suggesting Kassam will be involved with our move away from Grenoble Road. I am however certainly suggesting that our owners/local leaders will have been in touch with him as if/when we leave the current stadium as it spells a substantial redevelopment opportunity.
