I know everyone is desperate for news, Christ, I'm dreaming of the moment all of this gets put to bed and we start 1000 posts on where the Karl Robinson statue will go at the new ground!!
Statue? STATUE??!!

Oh dear. Dearie, dearie me.

If I lay one brick for every time I said that we're not staying at the Kassam, we would've had a new bloody stadium already.

It's like arguing with an actor, no matter what we say, they come back with the same nonsensical lines!

WE ARE NOT STAYING AT THE KASSAM!!!

Never the plan, never going to be the plan. Never. Never. Never!

And while we're at it, we're not moving to Bicester, the training ground, timbuktu, ground sharing with Coventry, or pretty much every other random idea that resurfaces ever hundred posts or so.

I know everyone is desperate for news, Christ, I'm dreaming of the moment all of this gets put to bed and we start 1000 posts on seat colours or where the Karl Robinson statue will go at the new ground!! But soon everything will be very clear and we can kiss goodbye to Mr Kassam once and for f*****g all!!!

I'm off for a lie down in a darkened room!!!
I get what you are saying BUT this applies to the present board at the present time
To say we are not staying at the Kassam could be wrong.
In a scenario where we find land but the planning permission is refused?
If as seems likely from past comments we try to move to North Oxford I would bet there are thousands of non footballing loving residents who will object to a stadium in their back yard
Perhaps the delay in the transfer of shares has something to do with cast iron guarantees( or as much as they can guarantee) from the council

Look at the projects the putative board and their family companies (where applicable) get involved in. They're not doing this to polish a turd in the hope it becomes a diamond. Future money will be made in accessible up-market shit. It's not rocket science.

They're not our new buddies and kind rich daddies?

The stadium will not be in anyone's "backyard" so I think you might be over estimating those who will be against a stadium and associated businesses. Yes there will be some who object, just because they can, and I'm sure there will be concerns about traffic etc. But whilst heavier traffic might be frustrating 30 odd times a year, the pay off will be having leisure facilities, restaurants, bars etc with parking only a few mile away rather than heading into Oxford Town centre, plus plenty of job opportunities.

And even of there are objections, that doesn't mean that the project can't still proceed if it has the support of local authorities. And that's why NMcW and others have been engaging with these people for some time. These are serious businessmen who do this kind of thing all the time, and won't be moving forward without confidence that everything will go as planned.

And no, there has been no delay in the share transfer and the takeover is not linked to any council decisions.
