Manager/Coach Robbo on the way ?

H
That is a strange move, abit like when Appleton went to Leicester to be assistant. Can only think that Critchley thinks he has took Blackpool as far as he can on the budget he is given, I doubt he was very pleased with Blackpool failing to meet Branagan's release cause and fart arsing about.
He’s thinking of himself, doesn’t want to be associated with possibly failing this season. Maybe hopes to get the Villa job eventually

Happened again this week with Charlie Kirk.
Like Appleton good move.
As manager it’s your reputation at stake. Dealing with a unwilling and reneger of a chairman.

I thought we were all here because of the same club..
We are all her because of the same club, doesn't mean you worship the managers every move. The club is the fans, and always will be. Whether we are climbing the steps to get into Wembley, shaking buckets to pay staff's wages, sitting in a non plus ground midweek in the conference aka Tonbridge Angels or making a 500+ mile midweek run to snowy Bury in a Mickey Mouse cup.
No difference if it's a fan who goes once a season or can only support the club from the comfort of home, those OUFC fans who are incapacitated or disabled.

That's why we are here not because of a manager, player, ground or chairman, but because the fans are and will always will be the club, We will all have different views on the people who come and go, but the one constant is the club itself.

Is there now some sort of rule on here that anyone who questions Karl Robinsons achievements are now abused and derided? Im not totally an anti-Karl-ite (this is becoming a very polarised forum) and I dont always agree with Mellow Yellow but its beginning to P**s me off that anyone who questions KRs ‘achievements‘ as our head honcho gets abused. Lets just agree that, so far, its been entertaining with some disappointments and mistakes along the way, and, fingers crossed, we’ll be prepared - with our financial backing - to have a good crack at it again this season. Or will I get abuse for suggesting that...?

Can't see many people disagreeing with that?

I don’t think you can be fairer than that! I just get fed up with the people who seem to think it’s been all doom and gloom without any of the fun and great performances

The one thing that some of these posters haven't presumably clicked yet is that they are the same people every time and all appear together, descending like a nest of hornets onto an injured animal everytime. Watch the next time someone dares to criticise kr or make a comment they don't like. Straight there they'll be. One with the sanctimonious attitude and a seemingly educated response, another who always seems to be angry with the world, along with the one who thinks they share a red bat phone with kr, when in reality it's the tea lady at the training ground, who simply enjoys winding him up. She feeds "itk" information and waits for it to appear on the forum.

If KR isn’t the right man for the job to understand our club and take Oxford to the championship then let’s hear some sensible and realistic suggestions as to who should replace him???

The current chairman is a big fan!

I think he would be a strong candidate - but I’m 100% convinced he would be able to do any better than Robinson - I’d like to see some sensible investment in players under the potential new owners we keep hearing so much about and KR given a big transfer window and another season - I think he has earned the right but I’m not in the KR at all costs and his job is totally safe camp

Not 100% convinced!!!!

Some of us have made suggestions, but then get shot down, but we’re asked who we’d like… go figure.

Why are some people so paranoid when their views are challenged?

There's no overwhelming pro-Robinson movement on here. It's pretty plain that a large majority have at least questioned his ability to take us to the next level.

It’s certainly going to be an interesting transfer window. Looking in from the outside, it looks to me that Robinson pretty much runs everything to do with the football side of things from top to bottom. Probably the reason he loves it here so much, I cant see any other coach or manager having as much freedom at other clubs - even in the Premier league. Unfortunately its led to mistakes with squad building in the past. A director of football would help avoid these issues but I cant see KR going for that. Lets hope lessons have been learnt.

There was a poll.
I think that only a small % wanted him gone now ( but quite a few suggested it had to be better next season)
