I like the fact you used the word 'groundsman'. An English Test Match Special pundit described that position at Lords as being 'grounds curator' the other day.Groundsman?

Give it a rest. How the hell has a thread about a hopefully promising young loanee become yet another series of self-righteous rants regarding Robinson. The man has gone - Stevens is a new signing from a (relatively) new manager, let's look to the future. There are plenty of other threads for this stuff. You were badly wrong on Robinson, and when anyone calls you out on the fact, you play the "obsessed with Robinson" card.
Totally agree.Give it a rest. How the hell has a thread about a hopefully promising young loanee become yet another series of self-righteous rants regarding Robinson. Christ almighty, I'm nowhere near obsessed enough with Robinson as you are with me Ron. A few people make some jokes and then people use it as a chance to self-righteously jump on them. Lighten up. I've suggested a million times you mute me.Give it a rest. How the hell has a thread about a hopefully promising young loanee become yet another series of self-righteous rants regarding Robinson. Play the ball, not the man.Christ almighty, I'm nowhere near obsessed enough with Robinson as you are with me Ron. A few people make some jokes and then people use it as a chance to self-righteously jump on them. Lighten up. I've suggested a million times you mute me.
There was a certain irony to being accused of "self-righteous" "rants" (literally one sentence praising a signing of a genuine RB) by the most self-righteous user on the forum, is all.Play the ball, not the man.
It’s ok, Luke will sign soon and we can turn our attention to talking about him@SirAndyOfCrosby
I’ve just used the advance search function to see how many times you’ve made a post that includes the word “Robinson” since February 26, when he was sacked. This covers a period of 17 weeks and 5 days. I’ll round this up to 18 weeks since I know you’ll be too busy painting your little Warhammer figures to post for the next couple of days.
The search returns any posts you’ve made where you directly typed the name “Robinson”, as well as any posts where you quote somebody who has done the same.
Twelve posts came up. This means that you’re running at approximately 0.67 posts per week directly containing the word “Robinson”. I won’t pass comment on how that compares to any other poster on this forum, because I know that you hold yourself purely to your own personal standards. You’re a singular figure. You’re a champion.
That said, if you could stop ruining this thread about a promising young signing who plays in a position we’ve had basically no depth in for the past three and a half years, and who looks a bit of a coup on paper, that would be great. We’re trying to build a more positive and inclusive Oxford United community. Do better. Be better.
Welcome, Fin!
I’m just glad he didn’t sign for that troublemaker Mousinho who behaved so badly behind the scenes, to the point that we didn’t even ask for compensation for him. That would’ve been a real kicker. At least that’s what I was told! It’s ok, Luke will sign soon and we can turn our attention to talking about him
I’d still say we need 2 full backs and 2 strikers and then we would have a very good squad.Very happy with this signing, finally getting our back line sorted, with multiple options for different scenarios.
Welcome Fin. Good luck!
Another sensible and well worked loan, re establishing our relationships with some big clubs again, which is good to see.
Well done Liam and the recruitment team
NEXT!
I’d still like to see 1or 2 quality wingers/wide players, to challenge/cover Murphy and Browne, and keep them on their toes.I’d still say we need 2 full backs and 2 strikers and then we would have a very good squad.
We might need 1 but we have Bodin who can play wide, Tyler will be in and around the 1st team again and Yanic will still be here if the club continue to turn down opportunities for him to leave.I’d still like to see 1or 2 quality wingers/wide players, to challenge/cover Murphy and Browne, and keep them on their toes.
So, I’ve never actually been on Mumsnet, does anyone know if it’s as bitchy as here?Christ almighty, I'm nowhere near obsessed enough with Robinson as you are with me Ron. DD1 and DD2 are asking DH whether KR played SL out of position, AIBU?So, I’ve never actually been on Mumsnet, does anyone know if it’s as bitchy as here?

Has the club turned down opportunities for him to leave? We might need 1 but we have Bodin who can play wide, Tyler will be in and around the 1st team again and Yanic will still be here if the club continue to turn down opportunities for him to leave.
Quite possible if it was an Australian as that is their term for a groundsman.I like the fact you used the word 'groundsman'. An English Test Match Special pundit described that position at Lords as being 'grounds curator' the other day.
Unless I'm much mistaken, the last time we signed a genuine right back, permanently or on loan, (as opposed to a square peg right back) was Chris Cadden in July 2019?
Regardless of your opinion of Sam Long and his best position - not having any specialist backup or competition for him in that role for three and a half years is utter lunacy!
Looking forward to seeing Stevens in action.......
