Enjoy this occasion - it really doesn't get much better than this. Better than even Premier games. Edgy in Reading their fans hate us far more than they do Swindon. It's their big one.

Anyone parked in the Oracle shopping centre? It’s our plan B and we’re en route there now, hoping it’s OK

Feels like it could be a bit of a sliding doors moment for Des.

Win, against a local rival, and it could start a tide of positivity before a run of very winnable fixtures…

Lose, however, and it’s inevitable that questions will be asked, and pressure piled on.

Looking forward to this One. Last Reading away game I attended we lost 4-3 and it pissed down 23 October 2000. love living in Spain but oh boy do I miss traveling to away games ! Ifollow for me.
COYY!!!!

Of course it would but there's too many on here keen and insistent to say 'I told you so' about DB as though they were some sage saying he was the wrong choice from the off. It's getting wearying seeing posts about it.

So many were keen on a MApp return after KR was sacked. The all-conquering hero returning, right? Before he was able to build the team he truly wanted, he rushed and signed a load of players who he promptly binned. His start looked like this and he had a few weeks to actually sign players, a luxury DB has yet to have.

Be unhappy about the last result and the Cheltenham one too - don't go piling in when the bloke has less than half a dozen games to his name and is missing Long, Leigh, Edwards, Browne and now Negru and until very recently James Henry.
It's a culmination of things. We weren't second when Appleton took over, most could see what he was trying to do.
Many had doubts about Buckinghamshire lack of experience, leading to a lack of plan B.
Poor performances have seen all the hard work to get to second thrown away, with mid table looming.
Tonight should be a straight forward win against a team in the relegation zone and in chaos, 3 0.
But the lack of confidence is
I don't feel anything about Reading so just another game for me. Late twenties so just the nature of never playing them..
You would have loved it in the 1970s and 1980s.
One of few grounds you could go to as an away fan and watch the game.from the home end, once the home fans had made room for you.
Reading were always so accommodating. We'd let them know we had arrived, and then they would completely dissappear.

That simply isn’t true about Appleton, fans were calling for his head very early under his reign and that didn’t ease until the new year when he changed things in the window.

As for many had doubts, nearly 50% of a poll of who they wanted as manager voted for Des.

He has had less than 6 games. 3 of them were against an in form Cheltenham side away, a free scoring Bolton and a tough away game to Peterborough who we always struggle against.

He’s only been here a short while and I’ve heard rumblings from friends who aren’t happy. He must have time to put his principles into practice. I’m expecting a fiery Derby game will get the lads going. Goodrham will welcome the chance that is for sure

I hope there is no trouble tonight otherwise you just know our game against this lot in February will be a 12'30 kick off ..... So you lot better behave 😄
