New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

As a small sample it's encouraging.
I do think they should of stood in the car park on a match day and done the survey to get a wider audience
We can do what FoSB do with small sample sizes, just simply transpose it to the full sample size and call it fact. No problem, 85% of Oxford fans have pledged to use public transport from the start, nearly at the club's 90% target.

#Winning.

Lies, damned lies and statistics.................... on spreadsheets. :ROFLMAO:

"What would you like it to say?"

The good thing about this is that FOSB don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to sample sizes and twisting the narrative to suit them.
I was surprised about how few had taken part in it but like someone said previously, maybe OxVox could have been in the car park before games? If it is still open then I’d suggest a couple of people standing around the car park/entrance to the south stand to fill it out there and then at the game vs Northampton.

And that 85% is BEFORE (note the use of capitals mid-sentance) East West Rail and the bigger better Oxford Central Station is opened.

Plus that 85% is Oxford fans, add in the away fans and I reckon that's the 90% achieved.

Cowley Branch line reopening too (although that still remains to be seen but a fair chunk of money is being thrown at it at present).

For POF podcast listeners, the errors from the previous podcast were mentioned in the opening of today’s episode with Kieran Maguire adding that ‘Oxford’s Chief Executive’ had been in touch with him to arrange a chat. Interesting.

I’ve said before that the POF is the sort of place the stadium situation should be covered in more detail to get it out there to fans who want to know why we need to move.

Interesting article from the Torygraph about Wasps Rugby Club's proposed new stadium

It's rugby, it'll be approved with the councils blessing. If a rugby stadium was proposed here planning would've been granted by now despite rugby being an unsustainable minority sport.

Be interesting to hear our Little Green Friend's thoughts, as it is taking place in his home county of Kent?

I think Tim Williams should consider speaking (I mean actually speaking, not a PR piece on the club website) to his "customers" first, before speaking with Kieran Maguire.

But then again speaking to the great unwashed will not enable him to self promote in the way that he likes to do with the national media.

Unfortunately, some of us lowly customers (when allowed close proximity) managed to frighten the life out of him. He's not going to take any chances of that happening again!
I can't wait to see what the directors box looks like post amendments to the plans.

Imagine that, the cause of the delay was to add in bulletproof one-way glass all round the directors box

Also it's a little disappointing to hear that the amendments are purely access and net zero related, nothing to do with the design of the stadium itself.

It was raised by lots of us that the roof was too high above the home signing section, and the lowest part of teh roof was directly over the away end. This will swing the atmosphere heavily towards the away team and reduce the home advantage without doubt.

We need to press the club to make sure safe standing is behind the southern goal not the northern goal.

Does where home and away supporters sit need to be in the planning application? That is something we the club can decide when ever they want

Well it will impact the concourse design as segregation will need to be built in, so would think so. Mind there will likely be regular break points for fire compartmentation anyway so could be build in a way that allows it to be customised on a needs basis. Current floor plans do not show this though.

Also the location of the safe standing would be in the designs so would think it would need to be detailed in the planning application.

Would like the to see some higher quality floor plans from the club since the ones on the PDF are crap.
