Saka spends too much time whining after going down, Henderson been dire

France are dangerous on the counter but gonna have so many opportunities to do it

Why tf are we stopping the game for a non head injury when we are on the attack ffs

You would think refs in the WC would be like teams you get rid of the s**t ones in the group stages this 🤡 tonight should of gone home already

This isn't a success getting knocked out in the quarters playing football like this no matter how southgates fans try to spin it. To much tapping about slowly around the back.

Saka needs to learn to stand up too and get straight up if he falls over.

The verdict in this house is England deserve what they have. Which is harsh as France havent created much either.

HT. Only 1-0 so not out of sight. A whole half to go.

England have been far from bad. France are good though and press England far higher than anyone else this tournament has. They’ve snuffed out some of their outlets as a result.

Some questionable calls from the ref. The Kane penalty incident was evidently outside the box so VAR quite rightly couldn’t pull it back for a free kick.

Plenty of time to turn this around. Try to get Foden involved more and push the French back and England will get back into this.

If you haven’t learned a thing from a Southgate England side - be patient!

It's been an even 45, but they've hit one belter.

Problem is that if we make attacking subs and push everyone forward too early, France will roast us on the counter.

But we do need more creative movement and quicker passing now. Bellingham is the only one that seems to offer anything unpredictable. Everyone else is just stuck in their lanes.

Henderson a joke of a player. Runs around a lot, actually accomplishing nothing. He spends most of his time running next to players, rather than tackle. Never plays a ball forwards. If he does it’s as rare as Haley’s comet.

Great goal from the French, stuck it really well.

The foul on Kane was outside the box. So VAR got that right NO penalty. The French have been far more positive in their play, and we have been slow and lethargic as usual. A couple of sightings on the French goal, but haven’t really laid a glove on them.

Why so much negativity on here? England have been the better side and are only behind to a worldie and some questionable refereeing/VAR decisions.
What game are you watching? 2nd best, they like to have the ball up front we like to play crab football in defence which mean we’re not trying to catch them out how many times have the French been 3 against 3 in attack?how many have we? Not any.

No argument with VAR - the argument it with the ref as he missed that foul on Kane, and the foul on Saka in the buildup to the goal as well as at least one more on him.

He seems to be a bit of a whistle swallower. Better than a whistle-happy nutjob, but I'd still rather a ref that gets the decisions right.

Started outside the box but contact continued into the box, so a penalty.

We have been better than the French so far and more opportunities.

It's the linesman on that side that needs to wake tf up. The replays show just how obvious the foul on Kane was, and how clearly he could see it. He HAS to flag and then let VAR decide if it's a FK or a pen - incidentally it was a pen by the letter of the law but VAR bottled it too.

The foul on Saka in the build up for their goal - thought it was soft at first but Upamecano (who by some miracle hasn't had a single foul given against him) does have a couple of little bites and you've seen them given plenty of times.

We're still well in this and Kane has Upamecano on toast. We can still win this.

Philips on for Henderson. Too much tippy tappy around the back bit like us!
