New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

more skullduggery from LibDem's ? - delay tactics?
No. There's no conspiracy. The submission date is given as a guideline so you can be sure your response is included when the planning committee meets. Anyone can respond right up to the meeting date but risk their response not being included in deliberations.

The Planning Committee don't debate the submissions. The planning officers take valid representations into account and prepare a recommendation for the Council - the Planning Committee have to decide whether or not to accept or refuse that recommendation. The planning officers will need time before the Council Planning Meeting to analyse the submissions and prepare their report, which is why their is a cut-off for representations to be made.

There is no guarantee that anything submitted after 22nd April will be taken into account even though the portal is still open.

Indeed.

And yet, there really would be no harm for both OxVox and the club to still email fans to remind them that although the formal consultation period has now passed, anyone who didn’t get the chance can still submit their comments.

There would be no negative consequences and both organisations will be communicating over the coming weeks (play-offs, end of season thanks, season tickets details) so plenty of opportunities to gently remind folk.

The pinned links at the top of this Thread could usefully be reinstated too.

Wasn't there a "Friends of Botley" that objected to them demolishing that s**t hole centre and redeveloping?

Didn't they essentially stop botley getting a cinema and a gym etc but still got all the big structures like the hotel?

Friends of Seacourt Tower?

But that’s not always the case, is it? For example, I’m a “Friend of the Fitzwilliam Museum” in Cambridge. A completely reputable, supportive group of people.
Does that mean that you're not opposed, in principle, to there being such a museum, but just think that it shouldn't be in Cambridge?

Asking for a friend.

Do these planning portals regularly get extended or is this a special case? Why has it been extended and why is there no end date at the moment?

Hard not to see yet another delaying tactic here.
It seems to be standard practice .
Certainly is on WODC portal

Just been to the polling station in Witney. One of the main candidates of one of the main political parties was at the entrance, I asked about the stadium issue and expressed that I hope it gets built and he said, We and our party in Oxfordshire want it built.

So folks vote for the major party who are NOT LIB DEM and GREEN to stand a chance for it being built.
Since when have the Greens or Lib Dem's been a 'major' party.
