New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Not sure you can read too much, if anything, into how the Lib Dem’s will do in CDC based on OCC elections.

They’ll do well in the results in CDC over the next hour you’d imagine.

In some ways, a stronger Lib Dem’s could be helpful within CDC as they will become less dependent on the Greens. Clearly from a stadium perspective you’d want more Labour and Conservative councillors, but the politics on this is more nuanced than some have painted it.

The Lib Dems are going to get absolutely hammered in South East Oxford by the looks of it, yet will be allowed to keep imposing traffic restrictions on an area it is barely a minority party, which will make hypoctites of the north oxford cartel if they try to claim this result as some sort of mandate against the stadium should it go there way.

Can't see CDC being a problem they have approve or reject on its own merits they can't reject just because Mawson don't want it 2 miles from where she lives

Yep. I still think the bigger problem may come from the Cabinet if planning was approved and the only thing standing in our way was them agreeing the lease. Something that seems more subjective and open to councillors letting their own views determine the outcome.
