Original comment didn't mention those two once, a certain poster made them up out of nowhere to try and belittle the person they were arguing against. Not sure why it was necessary to bring them up at all.
I'm biased but our fans seem generally decent folk to me. Most of the time I'm on away days I'm surrounded by random people I don't know in the away end but they're usually polite and nice lads.
Sadly I and others have witnessed it. Fortunately it is becoming rarer, but it still very much exists.
The original comment stated "horrific abuse". I gave examples of how that may have been presented. It is necessary because if we accept "horrific abuse" as passion then we will never address issues that are still present in the game.

As I said earlier in the thread, I can't remember the last time I witnessed anything of the sort at an Oxford match, though I did hear some sexism at the Charlton game towards the female assistant referee. Unfortunately I missed who said it, else I would definitely have reported them.
