But we were ambitious in the window! Record wages for Grigg, Having to tell Tiger not to bid a million for Cadden, the guy doesnt know hes born!!Oooo there it is. "We need to spend money on the team to be successful, because if we don't we'll become just like the rest."
Robbo wants assurances about the mid-term and log term. ., cant really argue with that. Wants the money received for Baptiste reinvested in the team.
fair assessment @ttg17, which I agree with .... but, it was quite late in the season when he left Charlton to come here.... the board need to stop spouting spin and be more open and honest in their assurances, certainly with KRI think he's just playing hardball. Using Blackpool as a bargaining chip. He'd surely be mad to leave us this late in a season where he could push into the playoffs and further cement his reputation as a manager that can get clubs out of L1 to move to Blackpool of all places. No disrespect but it's very much a lateral move at this point - they're not a tiny club, but no bigger than us and not big enough to make it worth it. I think he'll be using this for assurances in the summer - presumably if he's not had them by then, he could walk.
looking at our run in we still have to play 6 of the bottom 7 teams. We have a real chance of finishing in the automatics.
Remember when everyone thought that about Wilder and he went to Northampton? Put it like this, if Robbo sees a summer of selling Dickie, Brannagan, losing Taylor and having to rebuild, versus going to Blackpool with their new owner, investment etc then its short term pain for long term gain.I think he's just playing hardball. Using Blackpool as a bargaining chip. I thought he was Karl Robinson?Scotchegg needs to have a word with Karl Robinson!!
Maybe he doesn't have confidence that the board are sufficiently behind a promotion push.I think he's just playing hardball. Using Blackpool as a bargaining chip.
