Club identity/wearing away and 3rd kit unnecessarily

I know you have a strong opinion on this, but it's getting really boring you repeating yourself.

Particularly as it’s not going to change. I personally don’t care but there are other elements of the game I prefer from the past (E.g. not having squad numbers and just having a 1-11 each week on the back of shirts) but it’s never going back and we might as well accept it.

At least when people who think they know what they are talking about mention rubbish such as 'playing as a false 9' or 'Doing the number 6 role', it would make some small semblance of sense if teams used 1-11.

During the close season, we do at least try and assemble a squad with the first team players having the "right" numbers. There was a game a few years back when we actually had a starting 11 with numbers 1-11.

I don't know.

I still play 6-a-side regularly and very much consider myself a false 17 performing the number 34 role.

There is no irony. We are Oxford United. Our nickname is the U's or the Yellows. So we can play in any colour and still be the Yellows.

I haven't heard of any good reason we aren't wearing yellow in games where we could. There is certainly an irony in my view.
Tradition and identity matters. That is my view. I'm not trying to stop you having your opinion.

I'm allowed to point out the irony of a club tweet on a thread specifically on this topic.
Of course you are, but I'm also allowed to point out you've essentially said the same thing in multiple different posts. It's not like we didn't understand you the first time, and you're trying to bring up this debate time and time again.

I'm still baffled by this.
Last night neither our home (yellow) kit or away (black) kit clashed with any of Crewe's first team kit, including their goalkeeper. Yet we played in our third (white) kit which meant both teams had identical white shorts - which I thought was the basic reason for having to change kits in the first place. And on top of that Jack played in a blackish kit that was almost the same as the referee. Just doesn't make any sense to me.
The kit selections have made no sense whatsoever on many occasions. Hopefully someone within the club will make it stop.

This seasons match by match breakdown is here: https://oxfordkits.com/2021.html

Is the black away kit a “fashion kit” that fans might buy as it goes with jeans ?

Whatever. I want a shirt like the Singha that is in the fabric so won’t peel off like printed on sponsors.
