General International Call Ups

After tonights result I'd be tempted to play it and bag three points!

As long as McNally doesn't get called up by the ROI - agreed!
As it stands, we'll be down two players, they'll be down two players - and they're clearly playing like crap if they managed to ship five goals to Shrewsbury!

Could that be why it seems to be taking a while to announce Yay or Nay? Maybe both clubs are less worried about call-ups but want to get the game played albeit for differing reasons?

Wish the club would update .
They were quick enough with there original “ don’t buy/plan “ announcement

Smyth has been called up, can't see why it wouldn't count.

I stand corrected, he hasn't played for us yet, so it doesn't count, should have bought him on as sub at Shrewsbury.

ROI squad announcement (McNally/Sykes) expected tomorrow so we should know by the end of tomorrow whether the game is on.

Morecambe's Greg Leigh likely to be called up by Jamaica but will be their only call-up.

Personally don't see either of McNally or Sykes getting called up, but someone must have had an indication of at least consideration for the club to word their updates as they have.

Australia haven't picked a single EFL based player so assume Ryan Williams wasn't close. Can't see who else would have been looking at a call-up to count towards a 3 callup quota as assume Davis doesn't count like Smyth.

He could come on against Ipswich though

Hasn't Davis come on as a sub in one game?

The rules about postponements are really odd as Charlton were able to postpone their Tuesday trip to AFC Wimbledon because Chris Gunter was called up by Wales. Apparently if the game is a re-arrangement then you only need one player called up to postpone it. Clearly as Gunter rarely plays they are bending the spirit of the rules to get injured players back.

Is everyone who slagged Sykes and his agent off going to cough up some humble pie?
Guilty as charged....Me , devouring a large slice > munch, munch, munch ( I still think Sykes agent is an idiot though)

well deserved call up Syksey , well done
