Yet, if this this is what's happening, players might think if kr recruits over the phone, how does that replicate itself in how he does other things as a manager.

It just seems more professional, maybe times have changed, but if I was the manager, I’d be keen to show the players myself the training facilities and gym etc that’s state of the art, and sell the club, and ambitions and aims/goals for the future. Then say to the player this is what what we want you to become apart of, and help guide this magnificent football club to the next level. We will pay you what we think your worth, and go from there.

If it’s via social media, then I hope it’s not here’s a couple of screenshots of our facilities, and we’d like you to sign etc.

Just how long has KR been abroad???! I would agree that it's an issue if he's doing everything by social media it's a problem but it's hardly like he decided to go to Spain then thought "I know, I'll try and squeeze a bit of transfer business in, save the hassle of doing it back home.".

I take your point completely. What I mean is that while he is in Spain and he maybe needs to speak to a potential signing, the technology is there for him to do so until he gets back.

Karl has a phobia of flying. It wouldnt really have been realistic for him to drive all the way back and then turn round and go all the way back in a week. Lets see whats announced when the players all meet up with him tomorrow

But who is to say he hasn't done all that with some players before he left?

I would imagine at least a couple got the tour and chat a couple of weeks back and are packing their bags today to join the Spanish camp as we speak.

KR confirmed there would be exits (he subtly alluded to McNally when referring to what has been reported without mentioning his name directly).

When asked if anyone would be joining the camp he said ‘no’ followed by ‘one or two are close’. Later suggested one may join up with the squad if they can get it over the line very shortly…

When people say Karl is doing his signings via social media, what do they mean? I doubt very much he's sliding into DMs on Twitter or spelling out cryptic messages on his dinner plate before uploading a photo to Insta.

Or is it that he's probably just making WhatsApp video calls? Because that seems pretty straightforward to me, and probably something that happens anyway when he's in the country and a player is 150 miles away at another club.
