No sure Browne's injury will be the reason that we change. Rather, we need credible wing back options to make it work. The left side is the issue as imagine that Stevens would play on the right. Brown would slot into the LCB position.

At the moment the formation isn't possible. However if someone like Leigh or Johnsons comes in then it might.
I believe Mills also started out as wing back before being pushed further forward. Could be a more attacking option at RWB if the situation allowed.

It frustrated me, that during preseason, before a ball was even kicked, some fans were calling out for GoD and Goodrham to be loaned out this season for development. Some even suggested GoD to Oxford City!!
He is a different option to Harris, strong and can hold the ball up, but I do think we need another striker.

A conversation was had before a ball had been kicked between City and United, in relation to GoD going to CPF this season. That happened.

If we do the business that weโ€™d like to do between now and the end of the window, Iโ€™d still not rule out a loan for GoD at least until January.

A sensible research path.

It does make me wonder if TG is the youngest player in OUFC history to hit 50 appearances (well, until G'OD gets there). Can't think of many who would potentially have got there quicker. Jason Seacole maybe in the 70s?
It's much easier getting early appearances in these days withal of the substitutions ( and the Pizza/ JPT thingy)
Billy Jeffrey would have started most of his first 50 games.

We are.

You don't get back-to-back away wins against the sides that finished the previous season 7th and 4th respectively unless you are promotion challengers.

Last season two teams had 9 or more points at this stage and they both finished Top 6. In fact, everyone who finished Top 7 had at least 6 points at this stage. If you look at the table after 4 games last season it's comparable with the end of season table, with a few outliers either way.

We no longer hope to be an outlier. We are challenging for promotion this season. If the penny hasn't dropped for you yet, fair enough.

It will soon enough.
A key part of pissing any league is to pretend that youโ€™re doing anything but.

Leicester were still talking about relegation in March 2016 and Guardiola hailed Karl Robinson as the finest football mind he had ever met after dispatching us 3-0.

Thereโ€™s no easy games in league one and we arenโ€™t in any way guaranteed to get 135 points. We probably wonโ€™t even sign Marriot and JCH.

It's hard enough giving initials for clubs without then referencing by club ground initials

Out of interest, what do you think of Longman as a player?

Am a fan! Had a good return at Wimbledon when young (8 goals and 2 assists)in a poor team.

Has gone on to get a decent Hull move playing 4k minutes in a few seasons.

Can play across the front line, a very good ball carrier and creates off the back of it.

He would be a very good addition - he looks fully out the picture now at Hull.

The Browne injury will definitely push us into signing a winger, hopefully the owners are happy to cover that along with the signings we already required prior to that.

Striker, left back, winger will now be priority. Wouldn't be shocked to see another CM / CDM come in if the right deal pops up on deadline day too.

I'm sorry, your views don't count. You're too well informed. I much prefer it when posters just look at random stats with no real context.

Sorry I must have missed it but how long is Browne out for??
