She is a Liberal Democrat, she will be strongly against it right up until she is strongly for it, the only way a third party in two party democracy just about survives.
It's not unreasonable for a councillor to hold back on making a decision until more information is available, and I'm not sure that we need to ostracise Councillor McLean just yet.
Fair enough but the fact remains she voted in favour of KPC adopting an object position back in June.
What else happened in September fosb went full on the attack mode on kpc and the lib DemsIt was an object position unless or until certain conditions were met though in June. I have a dim view of KPC overall but I can see that being a reasonable position at the time. OCC were asking the same of OUFC too.
It's the September meeting which is more interesting where she abstains and KPC go into full opposition/objection mode. It means she may well stay on the Planning Committee. The club have a good claim to say that Fiona Mawson shouldn't be on there at all.
I'm not trying to present her as an ally or villain in this - just as one to watch bearing in mind her ties to KPC and the CDC PC.
Perhaps this extract from the LGA guidance for councillors involved in planning decisions will stave off a few bouts of apoplexy when certain councillors do not withdraw from the debate.
Or maybe it will just bring them forward to the present......

My seat named @bazzer9461 seatSo, the big reveal is not too far away. Can’t wait.
What would you like to see personally that the developers have come up with?
Totally agree. I think it would be foolish to stoop to their level and react to this. Keep acting with dignity is the way to go.Almost regardless of who posts under what user name, we're seeing that there are some really nasty individuals associated with FoSB and the Green Party. This has never been about environmental concerns and has everything to do with these people thinking that they're better than us. They are anti everything that they think is beneath them, and when challenged they come out with nasty hate-filled posts like we're seeing.
This is because, to them, we are nothing more than scum that needs putting back in our place. And when anyone reacts with similar language they play the victim by saying that the nasty football thugs are being terribly beastly towards these innocent environmental campaigners.
What they absolutely hate more than anything is when we conduct ourselves respectfully and make reasoned and we'll thoughtout posts. This is because it exposes them as the nasty people, but also shows that their arguments are weak.
Keep digging and exposing them for who they really are, but don't lower yourselves to their levels away from this forum. Remember, we are winning and we should continue to act with the dignity that has been so effective.

We 'OUFC' now need to show the evidence we have of prejudged behaviour and rightly kick them out.Perhaps this extract from the LGA guidance for councillors involved in planning decisions will stave off a few bouts of apoplexy when certain councillors do not withdraw from the debate.
