New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

I don't know how much has been discussed about getting fans from the station to the stadium, but I'm a little worried that this may be a significant stumbling block.
I heard road closure before and after the game.... That isn't going to please the locals.
A bridge a bit complicated and not big enough for the fans arriving and especially leaving.
An underpass... Sounds expensive to me.
Yes I'm abit concerned, I hope OUFC has it worked out.
I can’t put photos on here because the files to big.
But I’ve had a look at a photo of the railway bridge under the Oxford Road and there looks enough room to extend the platforms under the bridge and out the other side.
There could then be a ramp from the extended platform up to the correct side of the Oxford Road.

It’s just a thought, and it would require working with Network Rail. But it would avoid tunnelling under the road or the need for a large bridge.

Don't copy and paste, download the image and then upload it :)

You’d still have to get over the A34 though.

I have printed the PDF file from the club. It is big and costs a lot of (cheap) paper, even when printed double-sided. But it's a damn good read.
Is it then legible? It's impossible to make the annotations on the diagrams from the web version.

I thought I'd try and correct and illustrate (roughly) how the will stadium look, as the 3D video appears to show the stadium orientation completely wrong.

This view looking towards the dug-outs and the retail end is only accurate if this was daybreak on a June morning.

This mockup is more representative of what a matchday will look like.

The pitch orientation is nearly identical to the old Manor ground. So for those old enough, this view is as if stood in the corner of the London/Osler Rd. (South East Corner).

Looking closely at the various plans, I reckon the away end might be behind the southern goal, as a number of plans seem to show a faint dividing in the concourse at this corner. (Don't shoot the messenger!).

Couple of hours, every few weeks, 9 months of the year.

Middleton supported the imposition of permanent road closures in the form of LTNs on many communities so it's hypocritical of him to oppose this road closure. Perhaps it's because it's near him and the North Oxford set?

But then he's never going to say anything positive about the stadium as he has a closed mind towards it.

Also, it will be quicker to get to and from Kidlington via Freize Way on matchdays then using the Oxford Road with fans on it.

It's a perfect solution thst doesn't need big, expensive and disruptive civil engineering projects to build bridges, underpasses, longer platforms etc which may result in permanent eyesores.

If you want to print and have not got a double-sided printer it will cost 28 pages. Not too bad, but all the full-page photos cost a fortune on ink.
