The O2 is 7 quid or so but they do have something not too bad called Steam IPA or similarEven posh lagers don’t put the real ale mob off, you are getting stick while paying premium prices.
I was at the O2 Saturday and haven’t even looked at what I was paying yet, it’s got to the stage that unless I am in Weatherspoons or the Blackbird I would rather not know.
It was a relief to get back to the Spoons in Bicester and have a nice cold pint of San Miguel for only £3.99 I must admit.
A truly grim sentence.
'San Miguel' possibly being the most minging part of it.
Wetherspoons, where cheap beer and lager is nearly always close to being out of date, hence the cheap price! and taste! What Lager from weatherspoons extensive menu would you suggest he drinks?

If u want a cheap pint of anything then go to Wetherspoons, if u want a decent pint of anything that tastes as it should, but that’s much more expensive, then go elsewhere!
What sort of beer do you think Des drinks, readers?
There are some things that are worth being snobby aboutFor lager I'd imagine no problem at all tbh and some people on here are almost FOSB snobby towards Weatherspoons ...and San Miguel is ok on a hot day !
Not sure this is one. There are some things that are worth being snobby about

I'd have thought his time in NZ might have drawn him more to Marlborough Sauvignon than going down the French route?Côtes du Rhône

I see him as refined but still in touch with the common man. When out with Mrs Des it will the second cheapest bottle of red wine on the menu. When out with mates it will be craft ale. What sort of beer do you think Des drinks, readers?
